Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe buys New York townhouse

Daniel Radcliffe has bought a New York townhouse. The Harry Potter actor paid over $5m for the property on New York's West 12th Street.

New York apartments should keep an eye out for Daniel Radcliffe. 20 year old Radcliffe, who plays the eponymous Harry Potter in the film series, now owns a five bedroom townhouse in the city. According to The New York Observer, the actor paid $5,650,000 for the property.
One of the five bedrooms in Radcliffe's new home has a balcony overlooking the 39ft backyard, which is "cooled by beautiful old trees and landscaping". The property also has four bathrooms and six working fireplaces.
Radcliffe's mother is named on the deeds of the house. Listing the property, Sotheby's International Realty said that it is one of three adjoining homes built by a sea captain in 1847 for his three daughters.
