Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin knocking two London houses into one

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are creating a "superhouse" in London. The couple bought the property adjoining their current home and are now knocking the two into one house.
Their present house was sold to them for £2.5m by Kate Winslet in 2004, according to The Daily Mail. Paltrow and Martin then bought the house next door for £3.1m in 2006.
Plans show that they intend to knock through the connecting walls and create one
property in London with 33 rooms. This would include eight rooms on the lower ground floor, six on the upper ground, five on the first floor and eight on the second.
The couple are also planning a two storey extension. This would house a gym, changing room, three bedrooms and a bathroom. "It will be a massive house," said a neighbour. "What they have already is a substantial family home, but to double it and add a bit on will make it a real mansion."
Paltrow and Martin, who married in 2003, are thought to be worth a combined £45m. With this in mind, the neighbour added: "I wouldn't want to pay the council tax on the new house, but I don't suppose that will concern this particular couple."
