Emma Watson buys house in London
Emma Watson has bought a new house in London. The star of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince also has a ski chalet in Meribel, France.
Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, paid £3m for her
townhouse in London, according to The Daily Mirror. It is thought that her boyfriend, financier Jay Barrymore, has moved into Watson's London home.
Although 19 year old Watson wants to attend university in the
US, she wants to have her own home in
England. Her new home is close to her father's house in London.
"After consulting with several property experts as well as her family and friends, she's decided to invest in her own place," a source told the paper. "It's a north London townhouse and it's just a stone's throw away from her dad Chris's house. So she can pop round for a Sunday roast whenever she fancies."
Before investing in the London property, Watson had already taken her pick of the
Meribel ski chalets. The actress is a keen skier and spent thousands of pounds refurbishing the property she bought last year.
