Tori Spelling's mother, Candy, has put her Los Angeles home, in the Holmby Hills neighbourhood, on the market. The widow of television producer Aaron Spelling, Candy's mansion is currently the most expensive residential listing in the US.

The 4.7 acre residence is for sale at US$150m, according to the Los Angeles Times. The Holmby Hills mansion is officially known as The Manor and is built in the style of a chateau in France.

Larger than the White House, The Manor has been described by Spelling as "the greatest entertainment house ever". It boasts its own barber shop, bowling alley and parking space for 100 vehicles as well as 16 carports. The three story house has many other customised rooms, such as an automated projection room and ones for flower cutting, silver storage, wine tasting and storage.

The mansion's staff are housed in a service wing, which has five maids' bedrooms and two butlers' suites. In total the house is believed to have over 100 rooms, although Spelling is not sure as she says she has never counted them. Outside there is a swimming pool, tennis court, a koi pond, a citrus orchard and landscaped gardens.

A local real estate agent told the paper that determining the property's price would have required intuition. "There's no broker who's inherently knowledgeable at that price point, because houses are rarely listed for anything near that price. It's almost intuitive, it's a trophy property, similar to the Playboy Mansion. If there's still somebody out there who wants a trophy property, this would be it."

Spelling has fond memories of her home of the past 18 years. "All the stars came through," she said. "Prince Rainer, Prince Charles, Jackie Kennedy...every star from Aaron's shows."
