Britney Spears moving into new LA home
Britney Spears is in the process of moving into a new house in California. The singer has been spotted unloading her belongings at the $8.9m property.
Spears, mother to two young boys, told fans on her
Twitter page that she was moving into
Chateau Suenos, reports celebrity gossip site X17. "I just took my babies to our new home and they loved it," the pop star announced on the micro-blogging site. "I can't wait to move in."
The house, in the
Calabasas area of Los Angeles, is situated in a gated community. The
Californian property is thought to just be a temporary home for Spears and her children. She is said to be having a new home built nearby, but this is not expected to be finished for at least another year.
Spears is currently selling her old home in
Los Angeles, which is on the market for $7.195m, according to usmagazine.com. The six bedroom property is built in the style of an
Italian villa and covers an area of roughly 7,500 square feet.
Inside, the villa has a wet bar, high ceilings, stone and mosaic tile floors, and a loggia in the master bedroom. The new owner of the property will also benefit from a swimming pool, spa and three garages.
Spears said in June that she wanted to move to a quieter area following her publicised difficulties. In a court document, the singer also stated that she wanted her new home to be "more accessible to parks and recreation areas" for her children.
