Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie spend £45m on dream French chateau

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are spending £45m on a French chateau. The couple want to transform the property into the dream home for their children.
Pitt and Jolie recently completed the £35m purchase of Chateau Miraval, according to The Sunday Mirror. The 17th century
chateau in France is set on a 1,000 acre estate.
Now the couple are planning on spending a further £10m on renovating the chateau. They have already applied to transform the 35 bedrooms and want to add Jacuzzis, steam rooms and a spa. They would also like to install a gym, a bigger wine cellar and a motorbike track.
The helicopter landing facilities might also be improved so that the family can fly in and out more easily. Security will also be heightened, with a surveillance centre, spy cameras, alarms and infra-red sensors.
The property is approached by a three-mile driveway and has its own vineyard. There is also a swimming pool, moat, lake and forest. Some of the renovations have already started, but other work needs to be approved by local authorities.
"We're trying to spend more time in the south of
France, because our kids have a more normal life there," Inglourious Basterds star Pitt said. A source told the paper that the couple are looking into local schools for their children and are improving their French. Neighbours include Bono and The Edge from U2 and Johnny Depp.
