UK School Holiday Dates

Many of your potential guests will be planning family holidays and may be restricted in their choice of dates by school terms. School holidays and public holiday periods are always in high demand and if your holiday home is situated in a location that is popular with or suitable for families, you may wish to consider these as peak season dates for pricing purposes.

Please note that the dates given below are a guideline for you to use as school holidays may vary by a week or so from district to district.

School holiday dates 2008

  • February half term – Saturday 9th to Sunday 17th February / Saturday 16th to Sunday 23rd Feb
  • Easter holidays (Bank holiday weekend) – Friday 21st to Monday 24th March
  • Easter holidays* – Saturday 5th to Sunday 20th April
  • Spring Bank holiday weekend – Saturday 3rd to Monday 5th May
  • May half term – Saturday 24th May to Sunday 1st June
  • Summer holidays - Saturday 19th July to Sunday 31st August
  • October half term – Saturday 25th October to Sunday 2nd November
  • Christmas and New Year 08/09 – Saturday 20th December to Sunday 4th January

* Easter bank holiday dates are very early in 2008 – some schools will have split dates as listed above, other schools may be on holiday Saturday 15th to Sunday 30th March.

  • February half term – Saturday 14th to Sunday 22nd February
  • Easter holidays – Saturday 4th to Sunday 19th April
  • Spring bank holiday weekend – Saturday 2nd to Monday 4th May
  • May half term – Saturday 23rd to Sunday 31st May
  • Summer holidays – Saturday 19th July to Sunday 30th August
  • October half term – Saturday 24th October to Sunday 1st November
  • Christmas and New Year 09/10 – Saturday 19th December to Sunday 3rd January
