Bansko's property market to benefit from Ski World Cup
Bansko's property market to benefit from Ski World CupThings are hotting up in the Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko as it gets set to host some World Cup action. The Right Move Abroad reports that two women's races will be held in the resort next year during the Alpine Ski World Cup.

It will be the first time Bulgaria has hosted the competition and the upcoming events are said to be great news for the property market in Bansko: "This is a massive coup for Bansko and the news underlines the fact that the town is going from strength to strength. It is also great news for people who have bought or are thinking about buying property in Bansko," the company comments.

Tourism already causes the town's population to swell; around 800,000 tourists visit Bansko each year, with an estimated 15,000 of these visitors renting accommodation during the winter. Next year the town will host a downhill race on February 28th and a Super-G race on March 1st.

The Right Move Abroad recommends the resort to potential investors; Bansko has the best snow record and the longest ski season of all the Bulgarian ski resorts, lasting from December 15th until May 15th, as well as being a "haven for tourists" the whole year round.
