South of France continues to offer high rental returns
South of France continues to offer high rental returnsThe south of France will remain a "certainty for showing good capital growth" for investors, according to one property investment firm.

And Trisha Mason, founder and managing director of VEF, said that the area also offered good returns for those looking to let out their properties.

She added that areas elsewhere in France such as Pas de Calais, Burgundy, Brittany and Normandy should be of interest to holiday home buyers, due to their good transport links.

Ms Mason said that the high-speed rail network in France was encouraging "huge numbers" of environmentally aware holidaymakers.

She said this "greener" way of travelling was encouraging people to switch from destinations like Spain and the US – only really accessible by plane – to France.

TGV (Train a Grande Vitesse) – France's high-speed rail network – reaches over 60 destinations across France at speeds of up to 186 mph.

And, since November of this year, all Eurostar trains have operated out of St Pancras Station, offering a reduced rail travel time from the UK to France.
