Murcia 'springs alive' as holiday home destination
Murcia 'springs alive' as holiday home destinationThe Spanish city of Murcia is becoming an increasingly popular holiday home destination, according to an industry expert.

A large proportion of the interest in the area has been put down to significant investment by golfing giant Polaris World.

As golfers are attracted to the area, they are also discovering Murcia's stunning beaches and the Men Menor, a 'mini-sea' famous for watersports.

Conrad Bedford of Overseas Property Shop said: "Over the last couple of years it has sprung alive and it's very nice. Where it was once dark and dusty, now the big golf resorts are spending money on the infrastructure and it's really very pretty."

The spokesman added that there was no set profile of a Murcia holiday home buyer, but said there was "a mixed bag", from young investors to families to older couples.
