Turkey 'fantastic for investors'
Turkey 'fantastic for investors'Turkey is one of the top ten holiday destinations in the world and it attracted almost 24 million visitors last year - something which means the nation offers fantastic opportunities for property investors, it has been claimed.

According to Remco Krijnen, investment specialist at IN2 Property Investments, Turkey offers owners the chance to rent out their properties to holidaymakers for a comfortable profit.

He said: "Demand is fuelled by cheap travel and improved flight times from a host of carriers, [as well as] excellent returns.

"For many of our investors, buying property in Turkey is beginning to seem like the ideal way to add Euro-Asian diversity to their portfolio while still enjoying the many benefits ownership in an emerging market brings."

He added that the country's government has actively encouraged overseas investment and this means that western-style mortgages are more readily available than in some other emerging markets.

Earlier this month, Gordon Lyons of International Property Agents said that an increasing number of people see investing in Turkey as an alternative to the markets in France and Spain.
