New flights to 'open up' Italy
New flights to 'open up' ItalyNew flight routes to Milan will "open up" Italy, an expert has said.

Eddy Crompton, director of Realpointitaly.com said: "It will open up areas that, at the moment, are not receiving enough attention."

He continued: "It will change because people like the idea of being able to access a property within an hour. That's what people want and if people can get there from a local airport within the UK then that's perfect.

It will open up areas that, at the moment, are not receiving enough attention. There are the lakes, which span three different regions of Italy, and they all accessible in about an hour from Milan."

According to reports, Ryanair aims to base twelve aircraft in Milan and open 50 international routes from Milan's Malpensa airport with an $840 million (£416.6 million) investment.

Mr Crompton added: "It could become a new hub within Italy. There are new feeder routes, so you can fly to Milan and then out to almost anywhere in Italy."
