New flight route from Sheffield to Spain

A new regular flight operation has opened between Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport and Alicante in Spain.

Holidaymakers from the north of England will benefit from the new flights, run three times weekly by operator Ryanair.

The flights between south Yorkshire and the popular Costa Blanca coastline will provide Brits with a fantastic opportunity to seek warmer winter weather.

Customers can take advantage of cheap prices, with flights starting at just £10 all-inclusive in celebration of the opening of the new route.

Ashley Casey, a spokesperson for the airline, explained: "[Alicante has] beaches stretching for kilometres, countless sightseeing attractions and a wealth of shops and boutiques with something to suit every shopper."

Ryanair anticipates an estimated 40,000 passengers will travel on the newly-opened route, running from November 24th to March 12th next year.

The air operator launched eight new routes last week from locations including Tenerife in the Canary Islands and Ireland's Shannon Airport.
