Euro 2012: Poland to get new airport
Poland is to build a new airport for the Euro 2012 European Football Championship. Approval has been granted for the new airport near Warsaw.

The airport will serve football fans travelling to Poland and Ukraine for Euro 2012, reports the Associated Press. The new hub will be constructed at Modlin, 25 miles north of Warsaw.

Costing 100 million euros, it is hoped that the airport will take pressure off Warsaw's congested Okecie airport. Euro 2012 matches will be played at five cities in Poland and Ukraine - Poznan, Gdansk, Warsaw and Wroclaw in Poland, while Dnipro, Donetsk, Kiev and Lviv have been put forward as host cities in Ukraine.
