Battersea Power Station to host London Freeze
Battersea Power Station in London will be transformed into a ski resort later this week . The first London Freeze takes place from October 23 to 26.

According to organisers, one of the highlights of the London Freeze will be the biggest real snow jump ever made in the UK.

Some of the world's best snowboarders and skiers will travel to London to take part in the event. The festival will also include a stage of the Snowboarding World Cup; the first event of its kind in London.

To add to the atmosphere, après ski bars will be dotted around Battersea Power Station on the banks of the River Thames. Parties will be hosted by DJs brought in from the top ski resorts in Europe. Live music will include sets from the bands The Automatic and The Enemy.

A high street will be set up, around which a ski village will be built. Keen skiers and snowboarders will be able to pick up bargains in the shops and preview the latest kit.

Tickets for the London Freeze cost from £9.99 to £149.99. Anyone wanting to book should visit londonfreeze.com or call Ticketmaster on 0844 847 23 58.
