Russell Crowe seeking house in west Wales for 'Nottingham' filming

Russell Crowe is looking to rent a home in Wales. Crowe wants a base in west Wales while he films the new Robin Hood movie Nottingham.
The Gladiator star has so far enquired about renting two
properties in Wales, reports WalesOnline.co.uk. However, Crowe's requests to hire both a 12 bedroom house near
Cardigan and an eight bedroom farmhouse in
Pembrokeshire were turned down by their owners.
Local estate agents think that despite Crowe's fame, he will find it hard to find a suitable property. "A lot of the rental houses are summer or holiday lets and it may be difficult for someone like Russell Crowe to find a house," said Nigel Jones from the John Francis agency.
Both the properties Crowe was interested in were on the market and owners of such properties will not be interested in letting them out, Jones explained. "The area tends to be quite popular and [there] are a few properties priced at around the £1.5m mark...Often, sellers of these are not looking to rent, they want someone to buy their house."
Crowe will be in Pembrokeshire this summer to film Ridley Scott's Nottingham. It is thought that filming will take place on the beach at Freshwater West, which was also used in the shooting of
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows earlier this month.
