Michael Jackson was about to move to England
Michael Jackson was due to move to England this week. Jackson, who died last Thursday, was set to move to Kent in preparation for his 50 concerts at London's O2 arena.

The singer had rented Foxbury Manor in Kent, according to The Mail on Sunday. It is believed that Jackson was to relocate to Kent until February next year, paying approximately £1m for his accommodation.

The Grade II listed mansion is just 10 miles from the O2 arena and Jackson was due to have moved there by this Wednesday. Tradesmen had been renovating the property to suit Jackson's tastes - fairground rides, a bowling alley and an 8ft high security fence had been installed.

Interior designers had also been hired to decorate the mansion's interior. The property has 11 large suites, but Jackson was not permitted to change the bedrooms used by the owner and his family.

A local resident told the paper: "There was a meeting of our residents' association at which we were told that Michael Jackson would be arriving by this Wednesday, but the policeman who addressed the meeting would not tell us the exact date and urged us all to stay quiet."

Meanwhile, the property's owner declined to elaborate. "I have signed a legal non-disclosure agreement, so I cannot comment," he said.

As well as the lavish additions requested by Jackson, the property has a music room, cinema and indoor swimming pool. The master bedroom is thought to measure 1,800 square feet.
