Lily Allen looking at holiday cottages in Devon

Lily Allen is looking at Devon cottages so she can escape from her hectic life in London. The singer wants to buy a country retreat in Ilfracombe.

Allen already owns an apartment in London, but, according to OK! Magazine, she is now looking for a holiday cottage in the West Country.

The singer is believed to be about to buy one of the Devon cottages currently on the market. The £300,000 property in Ilfracombe will provide Allen with a welcome change from her London lifestyle.

"Lily loves London, but would love a bolt hole to escape to" a source told the magazine. "Kate Moss, Liz Hurley and Pete Doherty all have pads in the Cotswolds but she hit on Devon."

The singer was particularly taken with Ilfracombe, the source added: "Ilfracombe is surprisingly up and coming, plus it's on the coastline and very picturesque. Lily has looked at a gorgeous beachside property for around £300,000"

Allen last year installed a revolving bar in her London flat: "Lily thought the bar was a great idea. It has been a hit with her friends," a source said at the time.
