Andy Murray has bought a new house in Surrey. Although he's gearing up for Wimbledon, Murray has bought a property without a tennis court.

Why Murray has chosen to move house the week before Wimbledon is a mystery to The Daily Mail. 22 year old tennis star Murray, from Scotland, will share his mock Regency mansion with girlfriend Kim Sears. They are moving from a London apartment.

The six bedroom Surrey property was on the market for £5.45m, but it is not known how much Murray paid for it. Although the house is lacking facilities for tennis, Murray now has an indoor pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and gym at his disposal.

Outside, Murray's new home has a triple garage and acres of garden. The interior also boasts a library, cinema and games room. Neighbours include Cheryl Cole and husband Ashley, England captain John Terry and Chelsea star Didier Drogba.

Given Wimbledon begins next week, Murray's timing has raised some eyebrows: "I'm staggered Andy is moving this week, of all weeks," a source told the paper. "Moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do in life and I'm very surprised he chose this week to do it....I hope this doesn't distract him at all."

The couple's belongings were seen being loaded up into removal vans earlier in the week. Among the items spotted were a Space Invaders arcade machine and PlayStations as well as giant cuddly toy versions of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore.
