New bilingual online advice for Britons driving, or reporting a crime, in France

Britons spending their holidays in France can benefit from new online advice on driving in France, French road rules and signs, and how to report a crime when in France, thanks to the Kent Police website.

The bilingual advice section offers details on all aspects of driving in France, as well as advice on how to speed up and facilitate the process of reporting a crime in France and England, says Travel Daily. The bilingual element means that both British holidaymakers in France, and French visitors to the UK can benefit.

The "revolutionary new tool" has been created by Kent Police after four years of research. Chief constable Michael Fuller said: "The new web pages offer travellers crucial information on keeping themselves and their belongings safe, and staying within the law in England and France."

Holidaymakers can download factsheets before departing to make the process of driving and reporting a crime in France easier. Victims of crime will also have access to a bilingual crime report.

Fuller added that both Kent Police and their French counterparts would continue their work with an initiative to cut road deaths caused by speeding.
