Mallorca bombs: FCO advice unchanged for travel to Spain
The Foreign Office (FCO) has not changed its travel advice for Spain following yesterday's bombs in Mallorca. Holidaymakers are warned that there is "a high threat from terrorism in Spain" and the FCO is advising travellers to be wary, but not to cancel their holiday plans.

Several small bombs exploded in Palma yesterday, according to barcelonareporter.com. Two devices exploded in a restaurant and the other in a car park below the town's main square.

Basque separatist group ETA has claimed responsibility for yesterday's bombs as well as last week's attack in Palmanova. ETA was also behind a recent explosion in the city of Burgos, northern Spain.

Nobody was injured by the blasts and none of the sites suffered serious damage. ETA sent a warning ahead of the explosions and the restaurant was evacuated. The Guardian believes the third device, the second in the La Rigoletta restaurant, to have been detonated in a controlled explosion by police.
