Athens bomb blast
A bomb has exploded in Athens. The car bomb went off outside the Athens stock exchange this morning.

One woman suffered minor injuries following the Athens stock exchange bomb, reports The Times. The building was damaged and eight cars were set alight by the blast.

Athens police say that a Greek newspaper received a warning before the bomb exploded. Several windows were blown out by the bomb and television footage shows debris scattered around the building.

A police spokesman said: "It was an explosive device. The remains of it were found in a damaged car. The building has been seriously damaged."

A neighbouring car dealership was also damaged by the explosion and the area has been cordoned off. No-one has yet claimed responsibility for the bomb.
