Rooney and Coleen to honeymoon on Branson's Caribbean island
Rooney and Coleen to honeymoon on Branson's Caribbean islandNewlyweds Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin will jet off to the Caribbean for a luxury honeymoon. Now magazine reports that the couple will be staying on Sir Richard Branson's private island.

Rooney and McLoughlin will spend a week on Necker Island, Branson's exclusive get-away in the Caribbean, after tying the knot in a private ceremony in Italy's Portofino.

The childhood sweethearts will be staying in a private villa, which boasts panoramic views over the ocean, in the 74-acre resort. They will also have two private beaches, tennis courts and a swimming pool at their disposal.

They will not be the first celebrity holidaymakers to visit Branson's retreat; both Kate Moss and Princess Diana have both stayed at the £23,000-a-night island in the past.

The footballer's wedding was a lavish affair according to The Guardian. The ceremony on the Italian Riviera was held in a 17th century palace, Villa Durazzo, and was followed by a reception in a hilltop gothic abbey.
