Obama taking family holiday in Hawaii

Barack Obama is on holiday in Hawaii. The US president elect and family flew into Honolulu for their 12 day vacation in his native state.
Obama, his wife Michelle and their two daughters are renting a beachside
holiday home in Hawaii, reports The Telegraph.
The
US president elect began his holiday in Hawaii with a five hour round of golf with local friends in Waimanalo.
However, the
family holiday could be broken up with work for Obama. According to The Guardian, he will still have to do some transition work in preparation for his
presidential inauguration in
Washington DC. This includes receiving national security briefings each day.
A report is also expected this week into whether Obama's aides played a role in alleged attempts to sell his former Senate seat in Illinois. The state's governor,
Rod Blagojevich, is accused of trying to sell Obama's vacant seat to the highest bidder. The report aims to determine what contact his aides had with Blagojevich.
