Zoom announces new San Diego service
Zoom Airlines will begin direct flights from Gatwick to San Diego this summer, it has been announced.The transatlantic low-fare airline has announced that it will offer twice-weekly flights to the US destination from June 20th.
According to Lori Burke, marketing manager of Zoom Airlines, the new service will provide people with easy access to the San Diego Convention Centre, with this year's comic convention being just one of the events scheduled.
"San Diego Comic-con has a large worldwide following. We are offering affordable, high quality travel, ideal for those enthusiasts keen to travel to this year's event, as well as those looking to combine business with pleasure and enjoy the beachside location of San Diego," she said.
The city is also home to trendy bars and nightclubs and "waterfront restaurants with spectacular views", she added.
Meanwhile, San Diego's Torrey Pines South golf course is to hold this year's US Open event.
