Possible strikes to disrupt TAP Portugal flights
Possible strikes to disrupt TAP Portugal flights

TAP Portugal flights could be affected by strikes by its pilots from tomorrow. Portugal's flagship carrier is facing industrial action during June and is warning of disruption to its services.
The strikes are set to take place between June 4 and June 13. Should it go ahead, the industrial action would cause severe disruption to the travel plans of holidaymakers renting
villas in Portugal during that period.
Flights between Gatwick Airport in
London and
Oporto would be subject to major delays and/or cancellations. Some domestic flights within Portugal would also be affected. However, any industrial action would not disrupt services to/from London's Heathrow Airport or those between Gatwick and
Funchal in
Madeira.
Should the strikes go ahead, passengers will be offered seats on alternative TAP flights departing from Heathrow. Alternatively, customers with confirmed and ticketed bookings can change their date of travel, or cancel their booking, free of charge. Anyone cancelling their travel plans will receive a full refund.
For the latest information, travellers should check TAP's website - flytap.com - or call 0845 601 0932.
