New Manchester to New York route with American Airlines

American Airlines has announced a new route from Manchester to New York. The direct service will run daily over the peak summer period next year to New York's JFK Airport.
Holidaymakers from the
north of England will have another travel choice when renting
New York apartments next year. The new service from American Airlines will start on May 16 and run through to September 30 2010.
The new American Airlines route from
Manchester will complement the carrier's existing service from the airport to Chicago. "This will be our second scheduled service between Manchester and the
USA," said the airline's Craig Kreeger. "We believe this new service to New York will prove equally popular, providing a great connection not only to one of the world's most exciting cities but also to the many destinations we serve from JFK."
Manchester Airport's Andrew Cornish expanded on the onward travel opportunities for passengers flying to JFK: "The service to New York JFK offers convenient connections across their US network, including
Orlando, Dallas,
Miami, San Diego,
Boston and
Los Angeles."
American Airlines also has a large operation from
London's Heathrow Airport. The carrier currently serves 250 cities in over 40 countries.
