New easyJet routes from Manchester as airline brings expansion forward

easyJet is bringing forward its expansion at Manchester Airport. The airline was scheduled to start new routes and increase its frequencies to other destinations in August, but this will now happen in May.
The start date for easyJet's new routes at
Manchester Airport has been brought forward to May 21. The four new destinations that will be served by easyJet from Manchester are:
Corfu, Bastia (
Italy),
Athens and
Dalaman (
Turkey).
There will also be increased frequencies to several of its summer hotspot destinations -
Alicante,
Malaga,
Malta,
Paphos and
Tenerife. The expansion will see an additional easyJet aircraft based at Manchester.
Announcing the carrier's early expansion, easyJet's Carly Brear said: "This is great news for the north west, not only does our additional aircraft mean more jobs and more visitors to the region, but it means that customers in the north west can now take advantage of easyJet's famously low fares to the summer hotspots across Europe."
easyJet last year announced that it was starting four new routes from Gatwick Airport. The first of these, to
Larnaca, will begin operating on March 31.
