Iberia strikes today & tomorrow
Iberia strikes today & tomorrow
Iberia strikes are underway. Workers at the Spanish airline are staging two 48 hour strikes, the first of which is taking place today and tomorrow.

Approximately 400 flights will be affected by the first round of the Iberia strikes, reports typicallyspanish.com. Holidaymakers travelling to/from villas in Spain should be aware of the industrial action.

210 flights have been cancelled at Madrid's Barajas airport. A further 57 services have been cancelled at Barcelona's El Prat airport.

The majority of the cancelled flights are on domestic routes. However, some 70 European services have been cancelled, including flights from Madrid to London.
Iberia says that it is doing its best to accommodate passengers on alternative flights. Affected travellers can change their flight dates if appropriate or apply for a full refund before November 15.

The second round of 48 hour strikes is set for November 10 and 11. Members of two unions representing cabin crew staff are engaged in a dispute with Iberia over wages.
