How to get there
International flights into Switzerland normally arrive at either Geneva or Zurich airports - with Geneva being slightly closer to Zermatt. Sion Airport is the closest, but not regularly operated.
All Airports are superbly organised and easy to reach with the Swiss rail network. Upon arriving at either airport, you can simply check luggage and skis directly through to Zermatt, and board a train (under the airport terminal) within the hour...
Because Zermatt is car-free, arriving by train is often very convenient for international visitors. On the other hand you have the possibility to rent a car at the airport and drive to Täsch, which is located just before Zermatt. There you can park your car and get a taxi to Zermatt. There is also the option of getting picked up by a taxi directly at the airport. Please don't hesitate to contact us, we will gladly help you with all arrangements.
