Home description

Haus Murini “Cloud 9” is in a quiet part of town, conveniently placed close to the ski-lifts and train station of Zermatt with excellent local amenities. Just five minutes walk from the Sunegga lift, and a further two to three minutes from the Gornergrat railway and the centre of town, Cloud 9 is ideally suited for both winter and summer holidays. Enjoy the unobstructed views of the Matterhorn towering over Zermatt and the Vispa valley whilst feeling totally at home in this modern, spacious (120sqm) and well equipped apartment.


This second floor apartment sleeps 4 people and comprises one double and one twin room, which are both en-suite. The master bedroom enjoys a bathroom with a very large double bath, perfect for that après ski soak, a shower, basin, WC and bidet. The twin room has a walk-in wet room with a large ceiling rose shower, WC and basin. Both the bathrooms are equipped with speakers enabling you to relax to music as you soak. All rooms are equipped with under-floor heating and for those winter evenings when you would rather stay in than explore the town there is a log burning fire. The apartment is equipped with a 32" LCD TV with surround sound and a DVD player. Wireless internet is also provided. The apartment building has a lift and laundry facilities.

The Swiss Alps / Valais/Swiss Alps region

Bordered by Italy, Austria, Germany, France and the principality of Liechtenstein, Switzerland lies in the midst of the Alps and these magnificent mountains occupy three-fifths of the country. The Mont Blanc lies just across the French/Italian border and is the highest mountain in Western Europe (4,807 m, 15,771 ft).
A trip not to missed is the Glacier express which links Zermatt and St. Moritz by rail which passes through 91 tunnels and crosses nearly 300 bridges.


Zermatt / Wiesti area

The car free resort of Zermatt is situated at the foot of the Matterhorn in Switzerland and offers access to a ski area of over 400km, connected to Cervinia in Italy. The village is situated at 1560m and with the highest cable car at 3888m it ensures excellent skiing in the winter & great glacier skiing in the summer. A climbers and hikers paradise with 38 peaks over four-thousand metres and breathtaking views Zermatt has something to suit everyone.

How to get there

41/2 hours by train with only one change from all the main airports Geneva, Zurich and Milan. Easy train connections from Geneva and Zurich airport (train station in the airport) and a possiblity to obtain reduced rate train tickets if purchased before entering Switzerland. (we can advise on this). Taxi transfers available from all airports (we can organise this for you). Zermatt is a car free village so if travelling by car the you can drive as far as Tasch where you must leave the car in the main car park of one the garages and travel the last 10 minutes by train (trains run every 20 minutes) or taxi. Electro taxis are available at the train station to take you to your accommodation.

Final payment is payable 45 days before arrival.
