About the home

This elevated, modern, duplex apartment (149m2) is located 10 a minute walk from the main and Gornergrat train stations and only 7 minutes from the Sunnegga metro and ski bus departure point.
It is in a quiet residential area with amenities nearby (restaurants/take-away) and only a short walk along the pretty riverside to the bustling resort centre.
The apartment is in an elevated position (120 steps from street level) and is on two levels and comfortably sleeps 7-8 people.
It comprises, one twin room and one single/small double, on the ground floor. All of the beds on the ground floor separate to make singles. There is also a bathroom with a shower and WC. There is an additional WC too.
On the first floor there is one double and one twin room. The double room has a spectacular view of the Matterhorn that can be seen from the comfort of the bed.
Also on this floor there is a second bathroom with a jacuzzi spa bathtub and shower. Ideal after a day spent in the mountains.
There is a spacious, well equipped open-plan kitchen (dishwasher, coffee machine, raclette and fondue etc...), that leads onto the dining area and lounge.
There are high ceilings in the living /dining area making it light and airy. There are luxurious, comfortable modern furnishings throughout.
There is a south facing balcony leading out from the lounge with beautiful views of the Matterhorn and surrounding areas.
The lounge has a plasma television with 190 cable channels in several languages, DVD, CD/Radio and iPod docking station. There is high-speed WiFi internet connection.
There is a washer and dryer in the apartment for your convenience.
Haus Verona sits just above apartment Verona. This makes the Verona accommodations ideal for large groups that want to be together. Between the two they can very comfortably sleep 15 adults.
Care has been taken with all of apartments to ensure that they are equipped so that they are attractive but are practical and friendly for all, making them ideal for friends and families alike. Good quality furnishings have been used but there are no 'irreplaceable' antiques to worry about if you have small children.

Terms & Conditions of payment: 30% within 10 days. Final payment: 45 days before arrival. (Bank transfer in Swiss Francs)
Your booking is valid once the deposit is received.
All clients are liable for any loss or damage to the rented property.
Cancellation Policy:
90 days notification: Refundable deposit minus administration costs of Fr. 300.00
Less than 90 days notification: non-refundable deposit
Less than 45 days: Full payment (non-refundable) unless property can be re-rented but administration charges will be applicable.

The Swiss Alps / Valais/Swiss Alps region

The Zermatt area

The car free resort of Zermatt is situated at the foot of the Matterhorn in Switzerland and offers access to a ski area of over 400km, connected to Cervinia in Italy. The village is situated at 1560m and with the highest cable car at 3888m it ensures excellent skiing in the winter & great glacier skiing in the summer. A climbers and hikers paradise with 38 peaks over four-thousand metres and breathtaking views Zermatt has something to suit everyone.

4 1/2 hours by train with only one change from all the main airports Geneva, Zurich and Milan. Easy train connections from Geneva and Zurich airport (train station in the airport) and a possiblity to obtain reduced rate train tickets if purchased before entering Switzerland. (we can advise on this). Taxi transfers available from all airports (we can organise this for you). Zermatt is a car free village so if travelling by car the you can drive as far as Tasch where you must leave the car in the main car park of one the garages and travel the last 10 minutes by train (trains run every 20 minutes) or taxi. Electro taxis are available at the train station to take you to your accommodation.
