BEAUTIFUL NEW APARTMENT IN THE TOWN CENTRE! This ground floor apartment has all modern facilities, but finished with a traditional Austrian style. Situated in the main town of Zell Am See, this small block of 7 apartments provides the perfect base for your summer or winter holiday. The apartment is divided into 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a main living area, all comfortably furnished.

The Austrian Alps / Salzburgerland / Salzburgerland region

Zell Am See is a traditional Austrian town set beside an alpine lake. If you are not a ski or golf lover, don't be put off! The resort is easily accessible by road or train, with plenty to do in resort and surrounding area. Take in the breathtaking alpine scenery on a day trip to Salzburg. There you can visit the castles, salt mines, zoo or take a guided tour of Mozart's birthplace or The Sound of Music. Towards Innsbruck is the Swarovski crystal factory, where you can take a tour and see how the famous crystals are made. Closer by are the magnificent Krimml waterfall, Grossglockner glacier and Sigmund Thun gorge.

The Zell Am See area

Zell Am See provides a host of activities throughout the year. Traditional music and craft festivals are in held in towns of Zell Am See & Kaprun in winter and summer, drawing tourists from all over the world.

In winter there are 132 km of pistes for all levels of skier or snowboarder to explore. This extensive area is known as the Europa Sport region and covers Zell Am see, Kaprun & Kitzsteinhorn glacier. There is an excellent ski-school for adults & children of all levels, a snow-park for boarders and freestyle skiers, and Kinderland for our younger guests. An ice-rink, indoor swimming pool, indoor tennis, squash, winter walks, snow shoe walking, sleigh rides and a toboggan run provide entertainment off the slopes. The local ice-rink also hosts ice-hockey league matches.

In summer the lake provides fishing, bathing, sailing and waterskiing activities. There are indoor and outdoor tennis, bicycles for hire, mountain biking and canyoning. Many of the cable car lifts remain open all year, providing access to a variety of guided and unguided walks, from leisurely rambles to mountain hikes. The nearby linked resort of Kaprun provides year-round glacier skiing, horse riding, bowling and boasts 2 18-hole championships golf courses which host the World Cup Ski & Golf Championship each year. The longest summer toboggan run in Europe is at Saafelden, which is about 15 minutes by car.

Austria has a is very good transport system. There is a direct train from Salzburg (1 hr 40) and Innsbruck (2hrs) or bus service from Salzburg (2hrs). Car hire or private transfers available at the airport, cheaper if pre-booked on-line.

We had an excellent holiday in your apartment, thank you. It was almost perfect in every way. The only comments that I have is that the mirrored cupboards in the bathrooms were too high to see into easily. I'm 5ft 6 inches and I still had to stand on my tiptoes, and also the bedside light in the master bedroom kept turning itself on and off. I know it's a touch sensitive one, but it was doing it even when there was nothing near it!
On the plus side the apartment was lovely and clean and much bigger than expected. The DVDs were a big hit with our children, the bathrooms were lovely and it was great having a washing machine in the apartment

July 2011 "Returned home Monday, and would like to thank you for a great holiday. The apartment was brilliant everything we needed, close to the town but far enough away to be quiet, loved every minute of it.
We all said we would like to return again some time in the future.

Prices are per week or per night, as stated, for the apartment on a self-catering basis; bed linen and towels are provided. There is a linen charge of 10 €/person and apartment cleaning charge of 60€. All visitors to Austria must pay Tourist tax at 1.10€ per pers/night, this will be paid by us and will be on your final invoice.

A non-refundable deposit of 250 € secures the booking, this will be retained as deposit for damage or breakages and will be refunded to your bank/credit card account at the end of your stay should no damage occur. Rent to be paid 6 weeks prior to departure. Payments can be paid directly into Austrian or UK bank, UK cheque or credit/debit card or Paypal. For credit cards a 2% surcharge will be applied, no charge for debit cards.
