Apartment Matthew is located in the suburb of Shuttdorf, just a few minutes walk from the main Areitbahn ski lift and the Shops, Bars, Restaurants & Night Clubs. It is also just a few minutes travelling from the centre of Zell Am See with all of its facilities and night life, with many more excellent restaurants, Bars & Night Clubs. The apartment benefits from a large balcony with views through to the mountains beyond. Sleeping for 4 people(1 King size Sofa bed, 1 bunk bed & 1 fold out bed) it makes this ideal for families or small groups to enjoy great skiing in the winter or summer activity holidays. Recently decorated with new furniture, equipment & bedding.

The Austrian Alps / Salzburgerland / Salzburgerland region
Austria is a beautiful country with all of it's stunnic mountains and lakes. It has a diverse landscape where a number of sporting and leisure activities can be done. Salzburg, the capital of Salzburgerland, is a lovely city with a long intriguing history and the birthplace of Mozart . The famous "Sound of Music Tour" is something that should not be missed! Much nearer to the apartment you can visit the spectacular Krimml waterfalls, some local wildife parks, the largest underground cave system in Europe or just take a boat trip on the lake. Why not experience the famous Halpenstrasse voted as one of the world's top ten drives. There is always something going in the area. A local beer festival, a cycling race, the local triathalon in Bruck, many musical festivals or amazing skiing and snowboarding demonstrations. You will never be bored!!
Zell Am See / Schuttdorf area
The holiday resort of Zell am See lies on the eastern boundary of the Kitzbuheler Alps, 80km south west of Salzburg. A small alpine city between a lake and glacier. Zell am See excels in natural beauty and hosts a number of sporting and leisure activities. For those of you who want a relaxing break the town offers a variety of shops, cafes and bars where you can watch the world pass by. If you don't wish to venture far you can taste the delights of the local bakery / cafe located with a two minute stroll from the apartment. The skiing in Zell Am See is excellent offering 120km of pistes with guarenteed snow all year on the Kaprun glacier. For the more energetic, Zell am see also offers a multitude of other sporting activities e.g. cycling, hiking, tennis, ice skating, trekking, water skiing, swimming (indoor, outdoor and lake), sailing, fishing, boating, mountain biking, ice hockey, diving, caving, canoeing, rafting, cross country skiing and horse riding. There is a sports stadium sixty seconds away hosting football and athletics. Just a few minutes drive or train ride away are 2 of Austria's best 18 holf Golf courses where several international tournaments have been held.
How to get there
Fly to Salzburg -Cheap flights from Ryanair, Thomsonfly, Skyeurope & Fly-be (from £40 rtn) - Car hire available from www.hertz.com plus several other companies at airport. (1 hr drive to apartment) - Local buses run regulary to the train station from directy outside the airport. - Trains run hourly and timetables are readily available on the obb.at web site - Direct bus transfers to resort available via vorderegger bus service.
Other options are to fly to Munich (2 hr drive to apartment) - Cheap flights from Easyjet, BA.
Drive from Calais takes around 11 hrs on non toll roads 95% Motorway/Dual carriageway.
