About the home
This recently renovated house is built in the traditional style of the area and offers the most amazing views over the Gozitan countryside. It is located in the quiet, much sought after village of Zebbug and is only a five minute drive from the popular tourist resort of Marsalforn.
The villa has recently undergone total renovation and a great deal of care has been taken to maintain its rustic charm. The living room is filled with character and original features including exposed wooden beams and a beautiful fireplace.

Two of the first floor bedrooms have double beds and the other has twin beds. As well as the three ensuite bathrooms, there is also an additional shower room. All of the bedrooms have exposed limestone walls, which add to the mellow, relaxing ambience of the villa.
he exterior of the villa is truly superb. A large sunbathing terrace surrounds the 10.5 x 7.5 metre swimming pool which has the added luxury of an integrated Jacuzzi. The views from the sunbathing terrace are exceptional and look out over the picturesque Gozitan countryside. The Island of Gozo region
Gozo is 67 km² in size. It lies approximately 6 km northwest from the nearest point of Malta, is of oval form, 14 km in length and 7.25 km in extreme breadth.
Gozo is famed for its grotto of Calypso, at a little distance from which are the ruins of a Cyclopean temple, a most conspicuous monument of antiquity. It is more picturesque than the larger sister island of Malta, and the country, covered as it is with conical hills, is more fertile in its plains and valleys.
The Zebbug area
Zebbug'' means 'Olives' ..and this village was once famous for its abundance of olive trees. The olives were grown and harvested here and taken for pressing into oil at the adjacent village down the hill ,on the way to Victoria which is called Ghasri (meaning the ''pressing place'' ) Zebbug is an old hilltop village with exotic views
Three northern villages are built atop hills-. The village's highest spot is marked by its parish church and the customary stone cross in front of it. Except for the coastal portions of Qbajjar and Marsalforn, the villagers of Zebbug actually live on two hills connected by a narrow strip of land. The land drops abruptly all around. This can be experienced along the road to Qbajjar and Marsalforn.
Here you will see that Zebbug commands spectacular views over the coast , land and sea. Another steep hill at Zebbug is the flat topped ta Kuljat, which contains some bronze age silo pits. The area between this hill and Qbajjar to the north contains many Punic and Pre-Historic tombs.
Zebbug Excels. The villagers are known for the high quality of their (Bizzilla) lace, weaving and woolen blankets. Their religious values are untarnished, as judged for example from the high priority given to the maintenance of street niches.
Included with Zebbug is a good portion of Gozo's north shore, which is characterized by some scenic inlets, natural bluffs and man made salt pans. At Wied il-Ghasri, one of the islands beauty spots, quaint boat shelters align the narrow canyon, which also offers a small sandy beach.

Ta' Perelli is incredible - there were only two of us, so it seemed particularly large, but it is huge, spotlessly clean and has loads of quiet spaces and corners which just increases the... more |

Decided on a villa with private pool for a 2 week break. This was ideal. Pick up at Airport, transfer, meet at villa all went perfectly. Welcome pack waiting in fridge and rental car at door. Pool was clean and quite warm. A good selection of cable TV channels and high speed wireless broadband available. Couple of niggles but a quick text to Anton and it was sorted within the hour...very quick response day or night. Nothing was too much hassle. There's a little mini market round the corner for day to day stuff, baker and fruit and veg van's arrive daily in the morning. 2 minute wander up the road and you'll find Silvinio's. Great pizza/pub with outdoor balconies. Serves burgers, great pizzas, kids meals, ice creams etc....If you want perfect peace, this is the villa for you. Work permiting, I'll be looking to book again next year.. |

Lovely setting and Fantastic view! Spacious accomodation but just needs a bit of TLC e.g. better bedding, better outside chairs etc, upper balcony space, maybe some games/books and what about spices/salt?? |
