The Island of Gozo region

Gozo is 67 km² in size. It lies approximately 6 km northwest from the nearest point of Malta, is of oval form, 14 km in length and 7.25 km in extreme breadth.

Gozo is famed for its grotto of Calypso, at a little distance from which are the ruins of a Cyclopean temple, a most conspicuous monument of antiquity. It is more picturesque than the larger sister island of Malta, and the country, covered as it is with conical hills, is more fertile in its plains and valleys.

Zebbug'' means 'Olives' ..and this village was once famous for its abundance of olive trees. The olives were grown and harvested here and taken for pressing into oil at the adjacent village down the hill ,on the way to Victoria which is called Ghasri (meaning the ''pressing place'' ) Zebbug is an old hilltop village with exotic views

Three northern villages are built atop hills-. The village's highest spot is marked by its parish church and the customary stone cross in front of it. Except for the coastal portions of Qbajjar and Marsalforn, the villagers of Zebbug actually live on two hills connected by a narrow strip of land. The land drops abruptly all around. This can be experienced along the road to Qbajjar and Marsalforn.

Here you will see that Zebbug commands spectacular views over the coast , land and sea. Another steep hill at Zebbug is the flat topped ta Kuljat, which contains some bronze age silo pits. The area between this hill and Qbajjar to the north contains many Punic and Pre-Historic tombs.

Zebbug Excels. The villagers are known for the high quality of their (Bizzilla) lace, weaving and woolen blankets. Their religious values are untarnished, as judged for example from the high priority given to the maintenance of street niches.

Included with Zebbug is a good portion of Gozo's north shore, which is characterized by some scenic inlets, natural bluffs and man made salt pans. At Wied il-Ghasri, one of the islands beauty spots, quaint boat shelters align the narrow canyon, which also offers a small sandy beach.

Très belle maison avec vue exceptionnelle. S'il faut mettre un petit bémol, manque juste l'eau chauffée de la piscine pour ceux qui viennent le printemps (ou l'automne).… More

"Excellent outdoor space with a pool"

We stayed, just the two of us, for week and a half over Easter 2014. Most of the time it was really windy and temperatures were around 18-20 centigrades, so we only had a few dips in a still very cold… More

"Perfect place"

My boyfriend and I were in the main Island of Malta for 3 days before we realised we wanted to be in Gozo, for many reasons really, but Gozo being the most beautiful.

We found this apartment on owners direct and I fell in love with it, when we arrived Anton (the owner) was SOOOO helpful and accommodating, and then we entered his apartment and it was GORGEOUS..

The pictures you see are correct, its a huge place great bedrooms, balcony's, pool, BBQ and we even had a friendly cat pop by.
We honestly wish we had not wasted 3 days in Malta and stayed in Gozo and in this fabulous house.
We are keeping Antons details because we would love to come back again.
Oh its in Zebbug which looks far from Gozo Ferry but its not, its about 15 mins away, its a lovely little hide away spot, driving to places is VERY easy.

"Very nice house"

It's a very nice house with enough space for two families.
Wonderful view.
Fresh bread, fruits and fish every morning in front of the door.
Nice neighbors.
Quiet place to relax.

"Tranquility, Space and Beauty"

Ta' Perelli is incredible - there were only two of us, so it seemed particularly large, but it is huge, spotlessly clean and has loads of quiet spaces and corners which just increases the feeling… More

"Peace, perfect peace."

Decided on a villa with private pool for a 2 week break. This was ideal. Pick up at Airport, transfer, meet at villa all went perfectly. Welcome pack waiting in fridge and rental car at door. Pool was clean and quite warm. A good selection of cable TV channels and high speed wireless broadband available.
Couple of niggles but a quick text to Anton and it was sorted within the hour...very quick response day or night. Nothing was too much hassle. There's a little mini market round the corner for day to day stuff, baker and fruit and veg van's arrive daily in the morning. 2 minute wander up the road and you'll find Silvinio's. Great pizza/pub with outdoor balconies. Serves burgers, great pizzas, kids meals, ice creams etc....If you want perfect peace, this is the villa for you. Work permiting, I'll be looking to book again next year..

"Lovely setting, friendly owners, great potential but needs a little updating"

Lovely setting and Fantastic view! Spacious accomodation but just needs a bit of TLC e.g. better bedding, better outside chairs etc, upper balcony space, maybe some games/books and what about spices/salt??
