This apartment is located in Amboula Beach Apartments, a small neoclassic hotel. This particular apartment consists of a twin bedroom, living-room, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower. The private veranda of each apartment offers a great view of the Ionian Sea.

At Amboula Beach apartments, you will relax by admiring the infinite blue of the Ionian Sea and hearing the lullaby sound of the waves; you will enjoy the well organised sandy beach, (awarded with the Blue Flag), Amboula, famous for its limpid waters and you will experience our hospitality.

The Ionian Islands are a small collection of islands scattered over the Ionian Sea to west of Greece. These islands are known for their beautiful beaches, their charming villages and their verdant landscapes. Each Ionian island has a distinct character and between them they offer everything you could wish for from a Greek island holiday.

Zakynthos / Tsilivi area

Zakynthos, also called Zante, is the southernmost island of the Ionian Islands.
Its impressive long sandy beaches and crystalline waters, same home to nesting sea-turtles, are beautiful contrasted with traditional stone-clad villages hidden in the pine covered mountains.
The animated beaches on Zakynthos offer an array of restaurants, bars and watersports along the southern and eastern coastlines - an ideal location for a summer holiday, while in the west spectacular sea caves and peaceful coves are surrounded by dramatic cliffs to offer tranquillity and seclusion.

Tsilivi area is set amongst olive groves and vineyards; its special features include great, sandy, shallow beaches with limpid waters.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
Make the most of the beach...

Two minutes walk from the apartments, Amboula is the ideal place for those seeking swimming, sun-bathing and water sports on a non-crowded beach.
Moreover, many of Zakynthos most beautiful beaches, as Tsilivi beach, (2 km long, a haven for children, sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts), Amoudi, Bouka, are located in small distance covering all your preferences; both organised ones, as well as isolated and quit ones.

Enjoy outdoor activities...

Leisure pursuits like cycling, horseback riding and nature trails (there are lovely walks through the olive groves,
especially during the spring and early summer when there is a variety of wild flowers) , offer wonderful ways to enjoy the changeable landscape of this area.
If you are a Scuba fan, then you have to drive to Keri (30 Km) and if you like to spend some time in the water slides, you drive or take a taxi to the Water village (4 Km).
There are many day trips available to Kefallonia and Olympia, as well as boat trips to the nesting ground of the famous sea- turtles at Marathonisi island, the Blue Caves and the amazing Shipwreck Bay.

Experience the past...

In the way of museums or archaeological sites you will still be pleasantly surprised: beautiful orthodox churches, archaeological sites and Venetian castle ruins are also awaiting to be discovered in Zante. A wide range of monasteries is another point of interest that will undoubtedly attract your interest.

Live the night to the fullest...

At walking distance you can find local tavernas, (most of them having beach-side dining), serving greek dishes and fresh fish.
Tsilivi, famous for its nightlife, gives you the opportunity for nights to remember!

CLIMATE
Zante enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate with mild winters and brilliant sunshine in the summer.
During the Summer season, from May to October, rain is very rare and the temperatures are between 30° and 40°C. A fresh breeze very often blows and the wind, the Maistros, typical of this island rises particularly in the afternoons (great for sailors and windsurfers).

How to get there

Fly with charter flights to Zakynthos from London & UK regional airports from 1st May to 31st October.
Charter Carriers: Avro, Excel, First Choice, Freedom Flights, & Thompson.
During this season, (May-October), cheap charter flights are also available from many European cities.

Traveling by car, you can reach Zakynthos VIA ITALY (Venice, Trieste, Ancona, Bari, Brindisi) on the ferry www.allgreekferries.com or ferry operators for Patras. From Patras is 1h drive to Kyllini port, from where you can get the ferry to Zakynthos (1h 15' ).

Amboula Beach Apartments provided us with a marvelous holiday. The sea view apartment was clean (cleaned with clean sheets-plentiful supply of towels etc every fifth day) tastfully decorated with all mod cons necessary. The gardens, watered religiously each evening by the delightfully helpful and friendly owner-manager, are an unexpected delight on a hot beautiful Island. The sea and beach are literally just a five minute leisurely stoll away. Moreover, unlike the packed beaches a few kilometres away in the main resort of Tsivil (easily reached by a good bus service or a 7 euro taxi ride), the beach is exquisitely secluded; umbrella covered sunbeds are always available. And the sea needs no introduction from me, it is exceptionally clean and beautiful. Three restaurants (two with fabulous sea views)all serve high quality food.This sounds like an advert from a pushy holiday company. It is not. Just two very satisfied holidaymakers who would recommend Ampula Beach Apartments to anybody. many Thanks Robert and Heidi. (London).
