At Jasmine Cottage you are sure to find tranquillity and a real flavour of Greece in a charming village setting. This enchanting whitewashed cottage was once the village shop! Lovingly restored it retains many traditional features; particularly striking are the 'whole' Chestnut beams that run the width of the cottage. Thick stonewalls keep it fresh and cool in summer and warm in winter. Full of character Jasmine cottage nestles in a green and peaceful garden situated on the edge of Old Mouzaki village. On the doorstep, Mount Vouno provides a wondrous backdrop with hillside paths through olive groves and woodlands to explore. A stroll around the friendly village reveals typically Greek local life and, little gems like the Church of the Virgin Mary built in 1741 with spectacular views across the southeast plains of the island.
• Whilst the location feels like it's a million miles away from the commerciality of the tourist resorts, it is in fact readily in reach of all the glorious south eastern beaches, from quiet coves to golden sand-strips. Traditional tavernas, a bakery and corner shop are in walking distance with restaurants and town life just 10 minutes drive away.

Lushest of all the Greek island chains, Zakynthos boasts superb beaches, great natural beauty and a distinct culture including a graceful Ventetian influence in the local architecture.
Zakynthos / Mouzaki Village area
The true attractions of the island lie in the orchards, olive groves, vinyards of the interior, the woodlands and the mountain regions where a peaceful Zakynthos can be found. Famed for it's stunning sandy beaches there are also quiet coves dotted around the islands coast.
Mouzaki is one of the islands oldest villages and is perfectly situated for exploring the island with good connections to the rest of the island road network. Nearby tourist resorts / beaches, the main town and rural off-the-beaten-track tavernas are easily accessible.
How to get there
UK charter flights directly tothe island fly from May 1st through to the 31st October. All year round Olympic Airlines operate the 'Hopper' from Athens airport. Ferries run daily from Kilini and Patra on the mainland and are connected via a coach straight through from Athens.
During the winter months the island is accessible via flights to Athens and internal flights from Athens to Zakynthos. British Airways and Easy jet offer flights to Athens, internal flights are operated by Olympic Airways . Olympic airways also offer connecting flights from Gatwick, Heathrow and Manchester via Athens.

Zakynthos airport -6km, 15 min. drive although the owner will welcome you at the airpport and transfer you to Jasmine cottage.

It is well equipped and we have given every thought to all those small details that will make this your perfect home from home. A good library of quality guide books is available and daily maid service is included in the rental.
Further details outdoors: The garden features an ancient wine press and water well. A decorative BBQ and patio area are ideal for al fresco dining and the owner is pleased to arrange on request, barbecues with all the trimmings! The cottage has it's own private courtyard and seating area, just perfect for outdoor breakfasts. The location is great for walking/rambling; within minutes you can be above the village on a mountain path with stunning scenery. Natural history guided walks and island trails arranged on request by the owner, ex British Countryside Ranger and guide.

Our special little welcome pack is supplied on arrival with everyhting needed for that first cup of tea or coffee.
We like to personally meet and collect all our guests from the airport, this service is inclusive in the price.
The cottage is lovingly maintained to a very high standard by the unobtrusive owners who, are on-hand for assistance and advice.
