The Adult Pools measure 700 sq. ft each, and the Kiddies Pool is 300 sq. ft.

The Ionian Islands region

Zakynthos, also known as "Zante" is the third largest of the Ionian Islands.
It has an airport and it connects to the mainland via frequent ferry-boat lines. The island is well-known as home to the Caretta-caretta sea turtle. The area offers a wide range of attractions and various activities.
It is well organized and tourist oriented. Museums, sightseeing, water-sports, horse riding, biking, cruises everyday, you name it.
Summers are full of festivals, concerts and recitals. The Island's Patron Saint, Dionysios, is celebrated on the 24th of August with a parade through the town of Zakynthos .

Kalamaki Village is a simply stunning unequalled location, on the beautiful Greek Island of Zakynthos. Located within the National Marine Park, the Island offers unspoiled and fully protected beaches but still retains all the amenities and water sports of an up-market resort.
Cars, bicycles, mopeds and quads can be hired locally. Kalamaki offers a large selection of restaurants and bars. One of the best tavernas on the entire island, "Michaelos", is a mere 400 metres from Kalamaki Court.

“So relaxing and friendly” We stayed at No.1 Kalamaki Court for a week in September 2011 and had a really lovely time. The house was modern, clean, well equipped, air conditioned and perfectly located for our needs. Lots of space with two bedrooms and two patio areas - when stepping off the lower one you are right at your pool, bliss! The complex is secure/gated (good for children) and friendly without being intrusive and although we were five minutes from the airport by car (so no horrendous transfer journey) we never heard a plane the whole time we were there. It's very peaceful in the complex although close to towns for nightlife too, so you have the best of both worlds! Kalamaki Court is a short walk (about 10-15 mins) outside the main Kalamaki strip and also ideal for visiting nearby towns such as Laganas, Argassi and the wonderful town of Zakynthos. We used taxis to do this - short distances to them all. We had a ball and hope to return to No. 1 Kalamki Court in the future.

“Fantastic spot in the sun!” I've rented 1 Kalamaki Court from Moira and Dermot on two occasions in August 2009 and August 2010. This little piece of paradise is located close to the main strip of Kalamaki on the beautiful island of Zakynthos (Zante). Once you've claimed your baggage at the airport, Kalamaki Court is just a 6 minute drive away by taxi. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome pack organised by the owners consisting of a few staples like milk and bread which were much appreciated after our flight. The house was well-kept, clean and tidy. Even at the end of the summer season, everything was still fresh. The house was completely kitted out with everything needed for self-catering; full size fridge, hob & oven, microwave, washing machine, TV/DVD player and air-conditioning. There were even a few books and DVDs which were much appreciated for the odd night in! For those who can't leave the office at home, internet access is available just metres away at the Hotel Dollas. The complex is attended to by two lovely ladies by Lisa and Ann, who make it their business to welcome new guests and ensure everything is in order. On one occasion Lisa, a fluent greek speaker, was more than happy to book us a taxi on enquiring. The pool was cleaned, and sun beds neatly tided nightly. Overall the grounds were in very good condition. There are a couple of restaurants on the doorstep of the complex, but the main town of Kalamaki plays host to a great variety of places and is a mere stonesthrow away. Our favourites were Michaelo's Taverna (just a 4 min walk), Zakanoh (10 min walk) - and The Peppermint (5 mins by taxi). Just off the strip is Kalamaki beach, a beautiful stretch of sandy coastline where it is not uncommon to witness wildlife staff attending to new baby turtles nesting. Zakynthos town is a 10 minute drive away; an historic place to visit by day, transforming into a bustling hub for dinner and drinks by night. Cobbled almost entirely, the narrow streets play host to a number of greek bars and restaurants. Will definately be back in 2012!

House was lovely....very much a home from home...Stuart and Anne Deas ,England.
Accommodation was lovely and had everything you could need. Pools and gardens were maintained on a daily basis and a really lovely place to relax. Kalamaki was only a 10 minute walk away and there's a number of restaurants close by. Zante is a lovely island with lots to see and do. The owners of this property were extremely helpful and I would highly recommend Kalamaki Court. Tracy Milne, Scotland June 2008

June 2010 - Kalamaki Court is a lovely place to stay - the complex is beautifully maintained and very safe for children. The swimming pools were a real hit with our boys!
Number One is very well equipped, a real home from home. We had a car for the duration of our stay which was well worth it as we got to see lots of the island - nothing is too far away as Zante is only small. Kalamaki itself is a nice resort - lots of bars and restuarants that are family friendly and the local beach is nice too.
We loved it so much we have already booked for next year....would most definitely recommend this location to families and people who want a get away from it all holiday. Emma, Simon,Alex & Oliver Ruscoe

Just a quick email to tell you how much we enjoyed our visit to Zakynthos and your lovely house at No.1 Kalamaki Court.

The house was modern, very clean, well equipped and perfect for our needs. Everyone was very friendly in the complex although not intrusive and the pools were just bliss in soaring temperatures! Not a problem though with the air conditioning system in the house which we used at night. I liked the fact the Court was walled and had a secure entrance for residents only (a bonus should you have children with you I would have thought) and we marvelled at how close we were to the airport (no horrendous transfer journey to your destination) and yet I think we heard one plane in the distance the whole time we were there. Stealth planes for sure!

Although we never hired a car or quad bike on this occasion Kalamaki Court is ideally situated for visiting nearby towns such as Laganas, Argassi and my favourite and a must if pressed for time....Zakynthos Town which was just lovely. All reached by taxi - short distances to them all. However not being completely lazy we also enjoyed the short walk to Kalamaki itself and the beach!

We are hoping to return to Kalamaki Court in the future...until then we wouldn't hesitate to recommend your property to other holiday makers.

Thanks for all your help with the booking and local information Dermot - most useful. We never quite made it to Michaelos on the last night having been distracted by the singalong in the Shamrock in town! Next time!
