The Ionian Islands region
Zakynthos, also known as "Zante" is the third largest of the Ionian Islands. It has an airport and it connects to the mainland via frequent ferry-boat lines. The island is well-known as home to the Caretta-caretta sea turtle. The area offers a wide range of attractions and various activities. It is well organized and tourist oriented. Museums, sightseeing, water-sports, horse riding, biking, cruises everyday, you name it. Summers are full of festivals, concerts and recitals. The Island's Patron Saint, Dionysios, is celebrated on the 24th of August with a parade through the town of Zakynthos .

Guestbook for Number One, Kalamaki Court
House was lovely....very much a home from home...Stuart and Anne Deas ,England. Accommodation was lovely and had everything you could need. Pools and gardens were maintained on a daily basis and a really lovely place to relax. Kalamaki was only a 10 minute walk away and there's a number of restaurants close by. Zante is a lovely island with lots to see and do. The owners of this property were extremely helpful and I would highly recommend Kalamaki Court. Tracy Milne, Scotland June 2008 We will be back soon.
