Need somewhere to celebrate? Weddings, graduations, hen nights, family birthdays or several families wanting to holiday together - put these two villas together and you have the essential ingredients for the best house party. All sorts of possibilities are opened up when these two villas, a matter of two minutes away from each other, either side of the swimming pool are rented together.
Both houses have magnificent views from their terraces and decks, their own eating areas inside and outside, and yet at Tal Hamsa there is room everyone to feast together on the top terrace. Even, on the rare occasion in low season when it rains, the Tal Hamsa spacious living room with its two seating areas and the large table can cater buffet style for the guests that these two villas can sleep! The kitchen is more than equipped to feed 22 guests inside - 2 fridge freezer, an ice cream deep freeze plus a small drinks fridge are an enormous help and if you cannot BBQ, the large oven comes in very useful.
With such a large party, finding some chill out areas is no problem. With its various terraces, little romantic hideaways (out of sight from other guests) but always with dramatic views, you cannot beat Tal Hamsa.
Tal Hamsa, & the Pink House, perched on a steep hill side not only have spectacular sea views but generally benefit from a refreshing breeze. This, with the combination of balconies, terraces and shaded hideaways makes it easier to escape from the intense heat of high Summer. All bedrooms have air-conditioning. For the sun lovers there are masses of sun beds on the large deck area around the pool and other secluded spots elsewhere..
On the other hand, the large living room with its open fireplace upstairs provide a perfect refuge for the cooler nights of early Summer & Autumn. This is the time for the energetic who wish to enjoy the astroturf tennis court - for the fit only a two minute walk away cutting through the garden (We can supply rackets)
Here teenagers can chill out or take over the Pink House with their favourite music, mothers of toddlers can enjoy the sun or shade while their young are in the crèche (which was made by the owner for his grandchildren) and grandparents can either watch from the private balcony of Tal Hamsa's master bedroom or escape to the Pink House and get away from everyone!
The Port of Aghios Nikolas - 7 minutes away in one direction and 9 minutes in the other direction - with its super market, filling station, tourist shop, tavernas, beach with free sun beds even has a taverna right on the beach. From this fantastically located taverna, wonderfully good value local wine can be bought and deliveries of meat and fish arranged from the little supermarket as well as local vegetables and freshly baked bread. All you have to do is ask and even a taxi service can be arranged if you do not feel like driving!
In the other direction, after passing many tavernas and one restaurant, there is a long beach, Makri Gialos with the usual umbrellas and pedalos.

This is a basic service we offer from our maintenance team in order to keep our villas in order, i.e. change sheets, towels, make beds, sweep - but it is not for guests' personal washing or ironing, or the washing up of dishes, etc.
We can arrange in-villa catering to be delivered from one of the local restaurants

The system is perfectly adequate for normal email usage and web browsing but it is not intended for downloading or streaming large media (pictures, music & video) and system files or office 'drop boxes'. Unfortunately it is not 'broadband' as in Katastari & Alikas & Zakynthos Town.
About this location
The Ionian Islands region
The island of Zakynthos, the most Southern of the Ionian islands, claims to have more sun than any other Greek island and yet thanks to the winter rain, it is also said to be the greenest. Zakynthos was Homer's 'wooded island'.
While Southern Zakynthos it is flat and very developed, the north is rural and full of exciting contrasts. A few minutes up from the cost line with its fields of wild time and rosemary dropping dramatically into the sea you pass olive groves and almond orchards and soon you find yourself among sweet smelling pine forests with hidden monasteries.
Up in the hills there is the small hill town of Volimes, where local pottery and rugs are on display in this very genuine Greek village - a reminder of the charming laid back style of Greek rural living. Old men sitting with worry beads, or playing 'tabli' (backgammon).
On your journey you may see an old man on a donkey or a goat half way up a tree and do not be surprised if your journey is delayed by the goats being herded along the road.
From Micro Nisi and Aghios Nikolas, you can rent various boats and explore little cove and beaches, or snorkle in azure clear water. For young children wishing to 'bucket & spade' Alikes and Alikanas (25 minutes away) offer long sandy beaches and the usual beach attractions, (windsurfers, pedalos, water skiing, etc)
Enjoy the marine life with a glass bottomed boat or visit the famous 'Shipwreck Bay' from the sea or enjoy this spectacular sight from the cliff top viewing platform - if you are brave!
Visit the hill town of Volimes, centre of the island's weaving industry where charming local pottery and other souveirs can be bought at very reasonable prices. There are a variety of tavernas and one seriously beautiful restaurant owned by Sophia who also runs te Art Cafe just outside the Port of Aghios Nikolas. This is a quirky meeting place for young and old. Sophia has filled it with her ow works of art, this includes life size papier mache statues, exotic jewellery and highly original paintings. She also has a multitude of hot chocolate in the Winter and wonderful cocktails in the Summer!
The famous luxurious Peligoni Club is just outside the Port of Aghios Nikolas and not only offers first class facilities for the sporting, but has an excellent restaurant and two bars.
