Garden Apartment in Zakopane
Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
In a big garden, over Bystra stream there is a Garden Apartment in almost hundred years old house. Location enchances relaxation - outside the window you can hear the gentle noice of a stream and birds chirping. There are squirels visiting the terrace or hedgehog coming to the garden from time to time...
Our apartment consists of two rooms (one with kitchenette), a bathroom and a large, sunny terrace.
In the first room (very nice and cosy) there are: a queen size bed, a wardrobe, a kommode, two night tables
and a TV. Notice please that to get to the second room you cross the first one.
In second room there are two single beds, a folded sofa, a table with chairs, a wardrobe, three night tables,
TV set with DVD. There is also a kitchenette (with double burner electric stove) and entrance to the large terrace.
There is a tiny corridor between the rooms. You will find there a fridge, cofee express, mikrowave and dishes.
There is also an entrance to the bathroom (a shower, a wash-basin and a toilet).
The terrace is large and sunny, overlooking the garden. While seating there one can see the Tatra Mountains and hear the gentle noice of Bystra stream. It is very good place for the afternoon coffee, mug of Polish beer or glass of vine...

"Barbara gives great advice--follow it!"
Aside from our difficulty in finding the location due to the lack of a map and not speaking Polish, our visit to Zacopane was very enjoyable. The apartment had a rustic charm that would have been comfortable had the weather been poor. We had beautiful weather, so we were rarely in it. Barbara was the true gem of the place. She had a lot of great ideas for places to eat, visit and hike. She even helped plan out the hikes with the varied detailed maps she left us. She is very upbeat and engaging and was willing to answer any of our questions. A good portion of success and enjoyment of our visit was due to her advice and knowledge of the area. She is also a ski instructor--an additional motivation to rent this apartment in the winter.

"A cheap and a nice place to stay with friends."
We visited it in winter so i can´t really say much about the garden but in general I would recommend it to anyone.
I would start from booking. I did have some problems paying at first but that was probably due to my own bank having issues. The price was really cheap and had everything we wanted. We could cook and could wash ourselves.
When we first arrived we were a bit disappointed by the condition of the house (outward appearance) but once we got inside it was really comfortable and felt like home. We brought our own stereo system and enjoyed our stay. The manager was very friendly and gave us directions to different hills where we could snowboard. The directions were great. It is easily accessable by car, it has a parking space as well.
I would stay here again if I were to visit Zakopane again.

"Practical apartment in a beautiful authentic house with helpful, friendly hosts."
We stayed in Barbara's apartment in August 2012. The apartment is in Barbara's beautiful traditional wooden house on the outskirts of Zakopane. The house is a few hundred metres from Zakopane bus and rail stations and close to an excellent indoor swimming and waterslide centre. There are local restaurants and supermarkets two minutes walk away.
The accommodation was great for our family (2 adults+2 kids). It is very practical with a small kitchen area, refrigerator, shower room, dining table and fabulous sunny balcony. We loved sitting out on the balcony with the children playing in the garden.
Barbara was very friendly and has speaks excellent English. She helped us with advice on our travel plans, with buying rail tickets and with expert knowledge about the mountains and local area. With Barbara's help and advice we made trips into the Tatra mountains and went to stay overnight in the mountain hostel at Chocholowska.

"Cosy apartment with everything you need!"
We stayed in this lovely Garden Apartment with our two children. It is attached to Barbara's house. It was very cosy with underfloor heating in the bathroom. It was within easy walking distance from Nosal ski slope and also a nice 10/15 minute walk from town. We really enjoyed ourselves here. Barbara's hospitality was wonderful. One evening we were invited to tea by her parents who live next door. They are such charming, hospitable people. We had a lovely evening with them. I have no hesitation in recommending the Garden Apartment. It was more that adequate for our needs.
