Fully equipped one-bedroomed apartment situated in the beautiful village of Koscielisko. This apartment is within 4km of Zakopane town centre and within walking distance of the ski slopes. A great base for exploring the hiking trails over the Tatra mountains, either on foot or on mountain bike, available for hire locally. In winter months the paths can be used for Cross Country Skiing. Koscielisko is one of the birthplaces in the history of Polish Skiing. It has hosted a number of important sports events, including World Championships. The village is placed on the South slpoes of the Gubalowka Belt. Its serene loation has beautiful views of the Giewont Mountain and ski slopes of Kasprowy.
There is a convenience store within approximately 5 minutes walking. A Pizza Palour is just approximately 10 minutes walk, or they will deliver. There are restaurants within walking distance of the apartment, experience the unique folk culture of the highlanders of the Pohale region and taste the wounderful Polish cuisine.

The Carpathian / Polish Mountains / Tatra Mountains/Krakow Area
The Tatra mountains are a well-known winter sports area, of which Zakopane plays an active role.
High altitude and surrouding high mountains give the area an average yearly temperature of approx. +5C. July can be very hot, while the coldest month is usually January. snow appears in November and disappears in March/April. It has been known to experience four seasons in one day.

If you wish to see sights in Krakow (or shop), Ibis Centrum is very good for price, double or family room £50.00 per night approx. and about 15mins from airport.
Krakow is considered by many to be Poland's capital of culture. The city boasts one of the best museums in the country and a number of famous theatres. This former Polish capital is full of wondrous architecture and heritage and is a pleasure to wander round if you can find the time. There are plenty of places to drink, eat, and have a good time in Krakow. These places are situated mostly in the city's historic Old Town district. Recently, more trendy spots have been launched in the nearby Kazimierz quarter. Krakow has a lively club scene with Friday and Saturday nights being the high point of the week. Live entertainment fits all tastes. Jazz remains surprisingly popular and there is no lack of places for fans of rock, modern pop, ballads, etc. Plenty of places are also available for an older audience to enjoy themselves.
Zakopane area
Zakopane is Poland's winter and summer mountain resort. Its serene location has beautiful views over the Tatra mountains and the rolling hills of Gubalowka. The area provides excellent conditions for skiing; the sport has been popular here for over a hundred years.
These apartments are located 4km from Zakopane town and within walking distance of the ski slopes which cater for various levels of ability, including ski schools.
The town of Zakopane is also a significant tourist attraction with its character and charm. Kupowki Street is the most lively place filled with shops, music arts, crafts and architecture, with its original wooden buildings.
Christmas in Zakopane is an unique experience The town is beautifully decorated, usually covered with fresh fallen snow. New Year is welcomed outside with many firework displays everywhere.Horse drawn sleighs with tources and horse bells heard everywhere in the town.
Summer months cultural and recreational events are organised. Every August the International Festival of Mountain Folklore event takes place. It became traditon that the town centre the festivals village is created and Zakopane hosts very colourful ensembles from many parts of the world. You can hear the folk music in the whole town.

From the market place the lower station of the railway which takes you to the top of Gubalowka Mountain. In winter the railroad carries crowds of siers.
Activities available through summer months: Mountain hikes, Rock climbing, Paragliding, Rafting, Quad biking.
If you want fun for all the family try Zakopanes Water Park.
Bikes are available to hire locally or follow a variety of hiking trails over the Tatra Mountains, Morskie Oko (the deepest lake within the Tatra Mountains), Valley of Koscieliska or cable car to the peak of Kasprowy Wierch. Lots to see and do.
