About the home

Villa Tara is within very easy reach (10 minutes by local bus, car or even boat) of the historic city of Zadar. Its central location also provides you with a perfect base to explore no less than 5 national parks: Paklenica, Kornati, Plitvica Lakes, Krka Waterfalls and Northern Velebit.

Situated on a quiet road but also offering easy access to all amenities (less than 5 minutes walk from local supermarkets) and many excellent restaurants for eating out. Villa Tara benefits from private parking and is furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With one double and one twin bedroom, it is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

Villa Tara

The Dalmatia region

Dalmatia represents the southern region of Croatia. It is a region situated on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea and for generations has been reknowed for its natural beauty. However it has only recently been discovered by visitors from all over Europe.

Along the coast the sea breeze complements the mediterranean climate and there are no less than 5 national parks (Paklenica, Kornati, Plitvica Lakes, Krka Waterfalls and Northern Velebit) for visitors to explore.

The Zadar / Puntamika area

Zadar is a city with a history that goes back more than 3000 years. It is surrounded by islands and is centred on a natural protective port. This provides visitors with the opportunity to explore both Zadar's rich architecture and the natural beauty along its coastline. Perhaps the most famous historic building is St. Donats' Church built in the 9th century but Zadar also has the world’s first pipe organ that’s played by the sea.

With the crystal blue Adriatic Sea many visitors chose to spend time on a boat or enjoy some of the many water sports on offer. For the even more adventurous there is mountain climbing but if you prefer to spend time relaxing then there are many restaurants and even live open air concerts (in season).
