Home description
"Julie" is in a peaceful and secluded village with a mild climate. The village has a shop and a Hotel with a restaurant. There are outstanding trails for walks, leading direct from the door, and in winter there is a beginners ski run.
The property is ideal for families or groups of friends seeking a restful holiday, or as a centre for visiting some of the best in Bulgaria. Children can safely play in the adjoining fields.
In addition to the log fires, there is central heating throughout and there are comfortable lounge seats in the sitting room and dining room.
In addition to the 4 bedrooms, and living room couch in the main house, there is a self-contained compact annex with 2 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms.

The Pirin/Rhodope Mountains region
Nearby Velingrad is reputed to be one of the top three towns in Europe having the most hours of sunshine.
A visit to the famous 10th Century Rila Monastry, with its superb murals, should not be missed. There are more UNESCO sites further afield.
For sportsmen hunting and fishing can be arranged year round. In winter, ski enthusiasts have only a 60km drive to Bansko and total beginners can have their first lessons on the gentle slopes in the village.
Yundola / Velingrad area
Jundola is well located for visiting many of the best features in Bulgaria. The nearby town of Velingrad is the top spa resort of Bulgaria, and with its numerous hot mineral water baths and swimming pools and every type of spa treatmnet, is paradise for spa lovers!
The town also has a good selection of shops, a Historical Museum, and a picture gallery. Above Velingrad is the huge Belmeken reservoire with good opportunities for watersports and fishing. Also near is the amazing 1200 m long Lepenitsa cave.
Another direction will take you to Plovdiv, Bulgaria's 2nd largest city, with its Byzantine walls, Thracian fortifications & Ottoman mosques. Old Plovdiv is designated as an Architectural Historical Reserve, with cobbled streets, old chuches, National revival-style houses, and Roman amphitheatre, stadium and forum.
How to get there
Fly to Sofia and Yundola is less than a 2 hours drive.
There are several airlines that fly to Sofia (including BA and Easyjet) and from several UK airports. We suggest you look at web sites skyscanner.net or www.cheapflights.
Cars and minibuses can be booked online and collected on arrival at the airport. We found "Budget" good value.
