"Great location with friendly and knowledgeable owners"

We had a lovely week staying here with our teenage son. The house is in a great location for walking into the town centre. There is much to see in Ypres and surrounding areas. You will be spoilt for choice for places to eat-something to cater for all budgets. Italian ice cream shop and waffles opposite the Cloth Hall are a must ! Passchendale museum at Zonnebroke is excellent-very interactive with the tunnels and trenches. A mere 5 minute walk around the corner is the Kazematten brewery (in the casements) open Saturday afternoons 3-5pm for tours and tastings. You can try Wipers Times beer here and it is well worth a visit. If visiting the In Flanders Field Museum in the cloth Hall bear in mind that the Belfrey tower can only be accessed in conjunction with a museum ticket so do the two together. Plenty to see- we shall have to return for another visit. Fien and Kristoff were extremely friendly and pleasant hosts. Would recommend.

"A fabulous stay in Ypres"

We had a wonderful stay. The house is perfect and has everything you could need. It's amazingly equipped for a self catering holiday. The owners live next door so are on hand if you need them - Kristof met us and is incredibly helpful (very warm and friendly) The chocolate and beer that had been left were most welcome! We had some sunny days and the patio is a sun trap - perfect for breakfast in the sun. The house couldn't be better situated - minutes from the Menin Gate and the centre of Ypres. It was great being able to walk in and out of the centre so easily. If you're travelling with children the park is 2 minutes away. We travelled with older parents - if we were on our own we would have hired bikes for the week as Ypres is amazing for cycling - excellent cycles paths ( I'd cycle more in the UK if we had something similar). We were lucky enough to be in Ypres for the 30,000 Last Post Ceremony which was incredibly moving. There's masses to see - don't miss the Museum aan de Ijzer, In Flanders Field museum, Hooge Crater Museum, Passchendaele Museum and Tyne Cot. One of the great benefits of this house is that everything is no more than 10/15 minutes drive (with the added bonus of parking at the house). Ypres was much cheaper than we expected which was a bonus. Already planning a return trip!

"Ideal location, Kristoff couldnt do enough to make our stay memorable"

Owners were extremly helpful and kept in contact and answered any queries promptly. Was a little sceptical about paying deposit for electricity but deposit was refunded promptly. House was clean and everything there that we needed. Only down side was that on the floor with 2 bedrooms there was no bathroom and had to go to ground floor for this or up a floor, didnt find this too much of a problem Location was perfect only a few minutes walk to the Menin gate and the secure parking an added bonus. Would not hesitate to book again

"Perfect...will hopefully stay there again in the near future"

I stayed with four friends with the intention of exploring the battlefields. This was our fourth time out, having previously stayed in the Somme area and this time didn't disapoint either. Our accommodation was all we could ask for, only a short walking distance down the road from the Menin Gate, where we attended numerous Last Post Ceremonys in the evenings during our week there. We were shown round the property on arrival, which was just as described and pictured on the website. Very close to the centre of Ypres and all local amenities. The private and secure parking space for our hire car was a bonus. Could not reccommend enough. Will hopefully stay there again.

(We bezochten o.a. Tyne Cot Cemetery). Kortom: de ideale woning voor een weekend vol ontspanning, cultuur en vrienden en/of familie!

"Extremely comfortable and well equipped apartment"

Ieper is a beautiful city and this apartment provided the perfect place to explore the history of the area but also to enjoy a lovely city. The apartment is bright and well equipped. The owner, Kristof, was a pleasure to deal with.

"At home away from home"

We stayed in the vacation house with our family, incl. our little grand son. The house has everything needed for a perfect stay : well equipped kitchen, nice terrace, wifi, cosy sitting corner with television, information about the area around Ypres, good beds. The location of the house is fantastic, nearby the Menenpoort, the center and the "vesting".Ypres is a nice little town, easy to walk through, with good restaurants and bakeries. The surroundings of Ypres are very interesting. We visited many cemeteries, Hill 60/62, Poperinge (Talbot House, prison cells), Cassel. Tip : we hired bikes at hotel Ambrosia and made an interesting biking tour through the surrounding area of Ypres. Very friendly and helpful owners!
