Our venue is situated within our own 80 acres of land, bordering the Yorkshire Wolds Way national trail, perfect for walkers!
Surrounded by picturesque villages with country pubs, we are an excellent base for those looking to explore Yorkshire.
The market town of Beverley is located 8 miles away with its magnificent minster a must see! The town has a wonderful racecourse located on the Westwood pastures, an idyllic picnic and dog walking location. With the cobbled streets, boutiques and markets Beverley is a lovely spot for the afternoon.
The friendly and welcoming city of Hull is steeped in maritime history, why not pop to one of the many free museums and learn more about Hull's history and development. The marina is home to 270 berths and hosts some excellent festivals in the summer months! and if it's retail therapy your looking for, Hull city centre has 2 main shopping centres and a huge variety of shops.
The tourist hot spot York is only 40 minutes drive, with an easy park and ride to get you straight into the city centre. We recommend visiting:
The Yorkshire Museum Gardens, set in beautiful gardens in the heart of the city centre, some of Britain's finest Roman and Viking finds are displayed in the museum.
York Castle Museum is the story of 600 years of everyday life in Britain, a real treat. The Jorvik centre takes you through York's Viking history in a wonderful underground journey.
The National Railway museum is free entry and a must for rail enthusiasts of all ages and of course the famous York Minster which is the largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe and a treasure house of stained glass- climb the tower for an amazing view.
Shopping in York city centre is renowned and of course you will stumble across 'the Shambles' a street dating back to the late 14th and 15th century. The outskirts offer the Mcarthur Glen designer Outlet, easily accessible from Rudstone Walk by car and Monks Cross shopping park.
The heritage coast of East Yorkshire is just 30 minutes away with its towering cliffs, breathtaking scenery and sandy beaches. Bridlington is located here, the town 1 mile from the seafront where narrow medieval streets are lined with unspoiled, original architecture. The harbour is shared between pleasure boats and fishing boats and the charming little Harbour Museum tells of the generations of fishermen.
Within an hours reach are coastal towns such as Filey and Scarborough and a further 30 minutes along is Whitby, most famous for its inspiration for Bram Stoker's book Dracula!
The local area is surrounded by pretty villages, country pubs and rolling fields!
South cave and North Newbald are our closest villages, with a lovely farm shop and tearooms less than a mile down the road.
South Cave offers all the necessities such as petrol station, cash machine, pharmacy, shops, supermarkets, a deli and restaurant.
North Newbald is a quieter village with 2 lovely pubs.
A further 4 miles is Market Weighton with much larger supermarkets, many eateries and a more bustley high street
