"Home away from home at the Brierly"

My husband and I spent 10 days at the Brierly in York, North Yorkshire England earlier this month. It is a city full of surprises with a rich historical backdrop. The location of the apartment is an easy walk to all points of interest as its location is in the heart and center of York. From the apartment you have a spectacular view of the Minster and a section of the Roman walls that surrounds the city. The layout of the apartment was useful for those times when one of us needed to rest and the other was full of energy and worked at the desk or cooked a meal on the other side of the apartment. Preparing the few meals during our stay was a luxury as the kitchen equipment and cookware are top of the line, not to mention the cleanliness of the entire apartment. This bright and spacious "home away from home" tipped the scales from a great vacation to a fabulous adventure.
Finally, the concierge service is professional and top notch. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, no question went unanswered. We were assisted with everything from finding a local yoga studio to providing a list of best eats and an independent film cinema. Our trip would not have been the same experience without this tremendous service.
I recommend this comfortable and immaculately maintained apartment to everyone looking for more than just any accommodation. This is a special apartment in a truly amazing city that you won't want to leave.

Thanks for your review Robin & George, we're delighted you enjoyed your visit with us and we could help you as much as we did. We hope to see you back again soon. Kimberley

"Peaceful apartment right in the heart of York"

Have just had a lovely short break in this apartment. Relax in the living area, admiring wonderful views of the West face of the Minster, and listening to the bell ringing (normally 4.45 to 5.15pm just before Evensong).
Situated in the predestrian area it is very peaceful, but take a few steps and you are in the heart of the city with many attractions.
Although set in a historic building, the apartment is modern and very well equipped with all mod. cons. The children were happy with the televisions and wi-fi, we loved the coffee machine.
On arrival you have everything you would expect from a hotel (tea, coffee, bath essentials etc), and milk / bread etc. can be obtained from the local Sainsurys just a couple of minutes walk away. The complimentary chocolates went down a treat!
If you have children I would highly recommend this apartment, as a much more relaxed alternative to a hotel....if you don't want to cook, you don't have to, York is full of cafes and restaurants.
Thank you Nigel and Margaret.

"Quiet luxury"

Brand new, stylish two bedroom apartment situated in the middle of York with amazing views of York Minster. The two well fitted bathrooms came in very handy. Large open plan living/dining area and fully equipped modern kitchen with everything you need for a holiday stay or longer. Incredible range of appliances, utensils, cooking and eating facilities. The location is everything you could wish for – being so close to the Minster and seeing it from the sitting room light up at night was a real treat. It was like staying in a luxury hotel. Managed to visit Betty's Team Rooms too many times for the waistline!

Organising keys and parking with the very helpful Kimberley (concierge service) was simplicity itself.
