A short stroll from York city centre, the perfect location for your visit to the many and varied attractions of York. Set in a quiet residential street, just right for a relaxing stay, whilst only a few minutes walk into the historical city. Where you will find restaurants, cafes, shops and the sites that York is famous for.

The apartment has two modern, spacious double bedrooms. A fresh family sized bathroom with shower and bath facilities, we also have an extra separate toilet. The large lounge has a 32inch flat screen TV, along side a blueray/ DVD player, and a selection of DVDs, book and board games. There is also free wifi internet connection.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dinning table and chairs. Leading from the kitchen through to the pretty garden and seating area. We also have private off street parking for two vehicles

Bedrooms: Located at the front of the apartment, the first bedroom is light and airy. It is fitted with lovely Laura Ashley bedroom furniture with double bed. The second bedroom is located at the rear of the apartment. It has a double bed and large fitted wardrobe.
Bathrooms: The family sized bathroom has recently been refitted with a fresh new bathroom suite and electric shower. There is a also a seperate toilet with new fittings.
Kitchen: The spacious kitchen is fitted with luxury oak units and includes a gas cooker, microwave and fridge with granite worktops. It also has a dining table and seating for four people.
Utility Room: The utility room is fitted with a washing machine and separate dryer.
Living Rooms: The large lounge is fitted with two quality leather sofas and modern fireplace and includes a flatscreen TV and internet Wi fi with large bay window.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: All linen and towels are provided, the apartment is professionally cleaned and all towels and linen are replaced after each guest

Off street car park for two cars to the rear of the property with an outdoor seating area and garden.

A welcome pack is left for visitors upon arrival and the owners are only a short distance away to help or answer any questions. The apartment is very well equipped a home from home.

Conditions

A deposit of £100 is required to secure a booking and the balance is due two months before a visit.
Included in the balance is a security bond of £100 which is refundable at the end of stay (within two weeks), once the property has been inspected. Because of an increasing incidence of large amounts of fake tan being deposited on bed sheets and towels a small charge may be made for the extra laundry costs incurred. Breakages and any damage must be payed for...thanks.
Strictly no smoking please.
Cancellations - deposits will be returned if the property is then subsequently let for the period cancelled.

Easy access to Victorian Harrogate and cosmopolitan Leeds and its superb shopping and big city experience.

The York / Central York area

York is a must visit city when in England and is one of the country's top year round visitor attractions. Its combination of buildings like the Gothic York Minster, the Shambles and cosmopolitan town centre where are interests are catered for makes it unmissable on the tourist trail.

Throughout the year various festivals are run to reflect the seasons whilst places such as the National Rail museum, the Viking Centre are open year round.

There are many excellent restaurants and a cafe culture second to non, the only difficulty is choosing where to eat next.

York is easy to get to as one of the UKs premier tourist attractions. By train bus or car York is accessible, and only 45 minutes from Leeds/Bradford airport where car hire is available and also the train and bus stations in York centre.
The property itself is a few minutes walk from York minster down Bootham the westerly entrance to the City and then into a quite residential street where there are a number of Bed & Breakfasts.

“A golden nugget of a holiday home!” My husband, my mother and I spent Christmas week in this apartment and it was the best Christmas ever! The apartment is spacious, comfortable, extremely well appointed and it was a treat to stay there. Also all the booking arrangements were simple and the owners very responsive and helpful. The location could not be better. It is easy to walk in to town (5 mins) and there is ample car parking at the apartment for your own car. We are moving to York soon, so will not need a holiday venue for ourselves, but I will recommend this apartment to my friends .

“It felt like home from home” A very good property in a convenient location at a reasonable price. It felt like home from home - everything we needed for 4 adults & a baby was available. Booking, finding the property, access & parking were easy. Quick to walk into town & a convenience store on the corner. What else do you need?

“Spotlessly clean, great location” My husband and my 18 year old daughter and I stayed in the apartment for 3 nights as we spent a couple of days in York and attended a family wedding. The apt was as advertised, clean, spacious and only a 10 minute walk into York. The only bad points are: the mattress in the front bedroom had a dip in the middle and was very uncomfortable and a blind is needed in the back bedroom as it would make it more private as its overlooked. The security deposit was returned on the 13th day after we left with a £20 deduction for fake tan on my daughter's sheets and some of the towels, so beware if you have teenagers or young children, it may prove costly! Response: Unfortunatley due to the need to replace soiled bedding after their visit a small deduction was made in the deposit the balance was returned to them within the stipulated time scale.This is the first time in three years of trading that we have had to make a deduction in a deposit. Beds are nearly new and very comfortable, curtains are fitted in the back bedroom and the apartment is in a residential city centre area, so every house is overlooked to some extent. Children are more than welcome, we have a large toy cupboard just for them ! So no down sides really, please see our other reviews for a truer perspective of the apartment.

“Absolutely Excellent!” Myself, my friend and her 5 year daughter stayed at 35 Bootham Crescent for 3 nights at the start of August. Before we even got to York, the customer service provided by Mike & Yvonne was brilliant. They were so helpful with the whole booking process and there was a clear feel that they take care of their guests. First impressions of the flat were brilliant. It was extremely clean, extremely tidy and fully equipped. It literally felt like a home from home. The two double bedrooms were a very decent size, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The lounge is large but very cosy. Having the little one with us meant we did spend all of our time in here on an evening but we felt so comfortable, it wasn't an issue. I have a bit of an issue with showers in hotels/apartments but the power shower at Bootham Crescent did the job! Everything in the flat felt modern and well looked after. The kitchen however was more than fab. there is literally everything you might need. And thankyou for the complimentary biscuits and wine, they went down very well! The box of toys and books in the back bedroom also provided lots of entertainment for the little one. The location of Bootham Crescent couldn't be better. It's about a 10 minute walk into town to all the quirky shops and history of the city. The 2 parking spots at the flat are invaluable for saving some cash. It was my first time in York and we were never short of things to do. It is a very magical, romantic place and the history of the city is very enchanting. While we were there, we visited the Jorvik Centre which is about the history of the town; very interesting! We also visted the DIG centre just around the corner. This is great for kids although i'd say myself and my friend learned lots from it too! Kids can learn something whilst doing an 'archeological dig'. Who knows what they might find....! We also visited York Minster which is a pretty impressive spectacle. Beware though, prices to go inside are not cheap. Might be cheaper to purchase a family ticket if you want to explore inside. Even just to wander around York is a brilliant past time with lots to see. 35 Bootham Crescent is a brilliant base to do this from. When (not if!) i visit York again, i would definitely check to see if this flat is avaialable and would not hesitate to return. I cannot praise it enough. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

“Best self-catering accommodation ever” The pictures of the apartment don't do it justice. The kitchen is the best equipped we have ever stayed at. Everything is easy and straight forward to use. It's really useful to have a washing machine available, so you don't come home to loads of washing and there is an outside washing line, pegs and clothes horse. The beds are comfy, the front room spacious, well-equipped with a nice selection of DVDs. The bathroom is also spacious with everything you would expect from a home-from-home apartment. It isl a quiet location and the residents upstairs are unobtrusive. There is nothing to put you off visiting again.
