"an excellent and very interesting stay"
I had a lovely time in our stay at Thorganbyfarmcottage/York. The cottage was very interesting and beautifully presented with first class furniture and fittings obviously chosen with care. i felt that Judy looked after us very well and was an excellent hostess which enhanced our stay in Thorganby. The cottage is in a beautiful quiet location with easy access to York and the coast. I can thoroughly recommend this lovely place and will certainly return to stay in the near future.

"Peaceful and of the beaten track!"
The cottage is situated down a lane called Southmoor Road which is 1.5 miles of the village road and pass the farm lands so well away from the traffic and any noise. Situated on a farm where there are sheep in the field and hens with their chicks wondering around while we were there and my wife and I found it a great place to relax. The cottage has everything you to help you self cater or pop up to the Jefferson Arms for a fabulous meal and a cool glass of wine or real ale. Also a very good area to have your base as York and Selby are not that far away by car or drive part of the way and get the Park and Ride No 7 bus from the design centre. If you do have a freedom pass this is the cheapest way to get into York 60p. The cost of renting the cottage is great value for money and I will recommend this break to my freinds and family. There is alot to see in the East Ridings of Yorkshire and many attractions local to the cottage including Horse riding and Fishing.
Nice to know that you enjoyed the peace and the animals, thank you.

"private and peaceful"
It was all it said it would be in the description. Very clean and well equipped. Judy welcomed us and gave us some useful information. But also left you in peace. We enjoyed York minster,Jorvik centre,Castle museum and Whitby. We used the park and ride at the local designer centre to get to York as it was cheaper and less hassle than taking the car. The only thing to remember is if it is extra cold you will need £1 coins for the meter. Other than that it was great.
Thankyou for your review and useful tips for other guests, lovely to hear that you had a great time.

"Very well equipped countryside cottage"
Booked this break only a few weeks before our stay; no problems with booking. Arrived earlier than we expected but this wasn't a problem; the cottage was ready for us. I was very impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was. This made our stay so much easier. Judy was so welcoming and our daughter loved the friendly dogs! Very comfy double bed! Whilst the property was advertised as having wifi, we found this to be very "hit and miss" and only once had a connection for more than a few minutes. The lack of a shower curtain (probably because it is a wetroom suitable for those with a disability) meant that the whole bathroom got soaked after every shower. The cottage is quite remote and in lovely countryside- perfect for a relaxing break but no shops within walking distance for a newspaper etc. Convenient for visiting York which we did everyday we were there. However, rather than trying to park in York it is far cheaper and more convenient to use the park and ride at the designer outlet.
Thankyou for your review, the WiFi is being resolved .There is always a connection in the farmhouse so there is availability there which everyone is welcome to use.A direct connection is going into each cottage and will be installed before June.WiFi is available in the cottages now.

"Peace and Tranquility"
Such a lovely peaceful cottage in an idyllic country setting though within easy driving distance to the city of York. The cottage was well appointed, clean, warm and comfortable - the perfect setting for our holiday break as we could explore the vibrant city yet still enjoy the peace and tranquility of a country setting, Would definately stay here again.
It was lovely to know that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the cottage many thanks
