Sitting on a large and private plot, this three bedroom villa is set on one level with open plan living, dining and kitchen. Enjoy the luxury of space as the kitchen leads onto an outside dining area, which further leads onto terrace and pool. This outside dining area is covered with a material which filters out around 75% of rays. This gives guests the luxury of being outside during the hottest months whilst enjoying the comfort of semi-shade. The main bedroom consists of a king size bed, plenty of storage and an en-suite shower room. There are two twin rooms with single beds and plenty of storage. All bedrooms are air conditioned for your comfort. The main bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower and there's a further guest toilet. The spacious open plan living area contains a seating area, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Green Villa aims to provide you with a superb home for your holiday whether you want to relax around your private pool or use it as a base to explore the wonderful beaches, mountains, castles and history that North Cyprus has to offer. In a quiet location 10 minutes drive to the centre of Kyrenia with its ancient harbour and a wide choice of restaurants and shops. We are lucky to have friends who live nearby who will totally look after our guests every need. Through them we are able to arrange car hire, activities etc. One of them will visit you on arrival and departure, and are on 24hour call in case of any emergency. Linda who is Australian and Suleyman who is Turkish have a vast amount of local knowledge without the language barrier. They are able to advise you of any aspect of your holiday.

The Kyrenia District
Northern Cyprus has been mainly unaffected by mass tourism and has remained an unspoiled, charasmatic country where the pace of life is relaxed. Yesiltepe lies approx 5 miles west of Kyrenia. The charming harbour town of Kyrenia (Girne) boasts the magnificent crescent shaped harbour where you can capture the relaxed atmosphere by watching the boats come and go. Dine on the quayside in one of the many superb restaurants with the tall converted warehouses as the backdrop. Beaches to the East and West of Kyrenia are sandy and many of them deserted, some are home to the sea nesting turtles. The famous village of Bellapais lies in the foothills above Kyrenia and here you can dine amidst the ruins of the Bellapais Abbey, the most romantic of settings. Hidden amongst the trees are two ruined monastries to visit and St Hilarion castle is also a must. With one hundred miles of coastline, a jagged mountain range and perfect weather conditions there's no reason to go anywhere else.

Boat trips run from the harbour daily, walking, scuba diving, tandem paragliding, golf, fishing, water sports, horse riding, tennis. All these activities can be arranged for you by our representitives.
How to get there
Fly to Northern Cyprus - Ercan Airport is approx 45 mins to villa, 50km in distance. Flights available from Gatwick, Manchester, Heathrow and Stansted Airports by Cyprus Turkish Airlines, Onur Air, Atlas Jet. (All these stop in Turkey however you do not need to disembark) Agents - www.north-cyprus.com, Cyprus Direct on 0870 401234, www.greenislandholidays.com Transfer from Ercan to villa will be free of charge when arranging the hire car through us. Car hire approx £25 per day depending on vehicle required and time of year.
Fly to Southern Cyprus – direct flight to Larnaca Airport – approx 1hr 20 mins to villa. Flights available from most UK airports - either charter or scheduled. British Airways, First Choice, Thomson, Thomas Cook, JMC etc. Transfer from Larnaca to villa will cost approx £60-£70 each way, you will be met by a taxi who is familiar with crossing the north/south border. This and car hire for your holiday can be arranged . Car hire is approx £25 per day depending on vehicle required and time of year.
If you fly into Ercan, we can arrange the hire car to be at the airport for you, alternatively the transfer to the villa is free of charge and the hire car will be waiting for you there. We have a very detailed description of the route from the airport, and driving is on the left so it's really simple.

Further details indoors: Lounge with patio doors to the outside dining space, and a spacious dining area inside. Fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, cooker extractor, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, water cooler and many other essential items . Patio doors lead to outside dining terrace, this terrace is covered with a material which is able to filter out around 75% of sun which gives the luxury of being outside during the hottest months. Washing machine is situated in the main bathroom. Bedroom one – kingsize bed, bedside tables with lamps, dressing table, hair dryer, air conditioning unit, en-suite shower room, plenty of storage space. Patio doors lead onto a terrace with spectacular views to the sea. Bedroom two – two single beds, bedside table with lamp, air conditioning unit, views to the sea Bedroom three – two single beds, bedside table with lamp, air conditioning unit, views to the sea Main bathroom – basin, wc, bath with overhead shower. Washing machine, ironing board, airer. TV, DVD player and CD player all available. Please note that the TV is not able to receive english channels, it is there for use with the DVD player.
Further details outdoors: Outside dining area for six people situated directly from the kitchen and is covered with a pergola for semi-shade. A barbecue large enough to cook for four. Poolside area has five sun loungers and two small tables. The beautiful 10x5m infinity pool is maintained and cleaned twice weekly. The pool is in full sun all day. The view from the terrace and pool area is spectacular, and is also private and peaceful. The garden is still in need of landscaping, however, once inside all facilities are on one level and the garden cannot be seen. While some areas of Northern Cyprus are surrounded by construction sights, Green Villa enjoys total peace and quiet. There are currently no big construction sites within earshot of the villa. Lie back in the sunshine and experience peace and quiet. Most days you will see the local goat herder with his flock wander by the villa, and the ice-cream man will drive to the front door!
Further details
Resources such as electricity and water are valuable. We aim to provide a luxury holiday to all our guests, however we are also very aware of damage to the environment. Please use the villa thoughtfully and respect our planet. The air conditioning units are very efficient and will reduce the temperature in the bedrooms in 10-15 minutes. We therefore ask you not to leave them on until you need to use them. Please switch off lights every time you leave the villa and also switch off any electrical items that are not in use. Water is also a valuable resource in cyprus, please be aware how much you are able to save. As from January 2009 we are now having to ask for a £100 breakages/usage deposit. If guests use excessive water or electricity we will have to charge them from the deposit. Unfortunately this is due to some previous guests using excessive amounts of these resources. If a reasonable amount of water/electric are used your full deposit will be returned. Thankyou for your cooperation.
Conditions
Children are welcome at the villa, but please note that as the villa is built on the side of the hill, there is a drop at the far side of the terrace, there are railings in place however this would not be a good choice if you have small children. Older children should be supervised at all times. Plastic glasses have been provided for use around the pool area All linen and towels are included, however pool and beach towels must be provided by you. Our friends who live in Northern Cyprus look after the property and maintain the building and pool. They are available for any problems you may have, and they are on call should you have any emergencies. They are able to advise you on any aspect of your stay.

This is the second year we have rented our villa as holiday lets. The villa is fantastic, however there still needs to be work done in the garden. As the villa is built on a hill, once inside the front door you would not see the garden and it would not spoil the enjoyment of your holiday in anyway. Over the winter we have had the swimming pool completley resealed and retiled and the area around the pool has been re-paved. This has ensured maximum pool water efficiency The pool and terrace are fantastic!
