Casa del Roble is situated in a tiny hilltop village called Las Brenas. The house itself is to be found on a quiet road which wends its way around the edge of the hill and it is this that affords the house its spectacular views: indeed from the 1st floor living room you have an uninterrupted view of the whole southern tip of the island.
We have a fully heated pool where total privacy is guaranteed and have attempted to include all mod cons that the heart could desire from plasma screens through to a proper garlic crusher!
Casa Del Roble is the kind of house that has something for everyone. If you wish to lie in a hammock and dream you just walk to the pergola at the back of the pool area.if you want to jog just walk out the front door and start! If you want to be truly peaceful just wait for nightfall, sit on the upstairs balcony and count the stars.
Sporty? No problem! Bring your bike or your equipment by prior arrangement and it can be stored in our large garage. Want to fish? We can hire you a boat. Golf? Bring your clubs and we will set up your Tee Times or if you're not too picky you can borrow ours! Scuba Diving? Just drive to down to Playa Blanca where there are numerous Diving Schools. Want to ride a horse or better yet a camel? In Lanzarote that is a really easy desire to fulfill.

On entering the house you will find large newly refurbished kitchen which has french doors leading you to the lower seating area and the gas barbecue.There is a plasma screen on the kitchen wall so at least if you have to cook you can watch TV or a movie at the same time!
The sleeping accommodation on the ground floor of the house consists of 3 bedrooms which are serviced by a large bathroom, and a further shower room. The 2 large bedrooms are furnished with King Size beds and have french doors which lead directly onto the lower terrace. On this level there is also a cosy twin bedroom which is right beside the shower room and a small utility room.This corridor also leads to the internal door to the pool house which can be used as a rumpus room or as a fifth bedroom if desired. Here there is also a set of french doors that gives access to the pool area which is at the rear of the house.
On the upper level of the property there is a huge L-shaped living room which boasts panoramic views of the mountains and the sea and leads onto a terrace which runs the full length of the house. There is also a further shower room and this is where the master bedroom is situated to take full advantage of the glorious vistas.
Here you will find a second plasma TV with another DVD player, a music centre, and all the books and games that you need for those nights in.

We have a 8mx4m dual heated pool.The walls that surround it guarantee total seclusion. This area has numerous sunbeds and a hammock, a pergola if you want some shaded cover, and a sound system in the pool house which can be used to add a little music to your sunbathing.
On the lower terrace there is the gas barbecue, an extendable dining table and chairs, and a seating area.
On the upper terrace there are some sunbeds, toughened glass tables and a seating area with highly durable outdoor furniture.
To the side of the parking bay there is purpose built ramped access onto the terrace in order to make life easier for anyone who has difficulty with the steps at the front of the house. It is also invaluable for the transfer of your luggage or shopping!

The Lanzarote region
Lanzarote is just 79 miles off the coast of Africa and is the most easterly of the Canary Islands. The island is 37 miles long and 12 miles wide, making it the fourth largest island in the Canaries.
Lanzarote enjoys a mild dry climate with average daytime temperatures ranging from about 21°C in January to 29°C in August. Annual rainfall is just 140mm (5.5 inches). This makes Lanzarote the perfect year-round destination.
As with the other Canary Islands, Lanzarote is Volcanic in origin. Due to the recent eruptions during the 18th and 19th Centuries, many parts of Lanzarote appear to be from another world, often described as 'lunar' or 'Martian'. The dry climate (and lack of erosion) means that the Volcanic Landscape appears much as it did just after the eruptions.
Amongst the many stunning Volcanic features of Lanzarote is the longest Volcanic Tunnel in the world, the Atlantida Tunnel, which is over 7 km long and includes the La Cueva de los Verdes and Jameos del Agua.
Despite the Volcanic nature of the island, Lanzarote has several beautiful white beaches such as at Playa Blanca and Papagayo.
The Yaiza / Las Brenas area
Las Brenas , Yaiza
Las Brenas is a small hill top village about half way between Yaiza and the town of Playa Blanca. It is a rustic area which boasts some of the most astounding natural beauty to be found on the island. Just down the road is situated 'Las Salinas de Janubio' perhaps one of the most photographed areas of Lanzarote and perhaps one of the most iconic symbols of the island.
On your way for a fish lunch in El Golfo you drive past 'Los Hervideros' . In English this means 'The Cauldrons' which is where the hot lava flow met the sea. and on most days when you stop and take a look you will find rainbows caused by the water running up the lava funnels.
A drive through the 'Mal Pais' and you are at the gates of Timanfaya National Park. What more do you need just on your doorstep?
Perhaps a little more fun which is why you pop down to Playa Blanca!
Playa Blanca was once a small fishing village at the most southerly tip of Lanzarote, but in recent years Playa Blanca has developed into Lanzarote's second most popular resort.
The resort has a seafront promenade which stretches for 7.5 kilometers along the entire coast. There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops to keep you entertained! A recent development in Playa Blanca is the Marina Rubicon. Located to the east of Playa Blanca Marina Rubicon is a sea-front development of upmarket restaurants and designer boutiques positioned next to a beautiful Marina of luxury yachts and boats. Here at the water's edge you can sit back and sample either the local or international cuisine that is on offer.
The beach in the centre of Playa Blanca (literally "White Beach") is quite small and can become quite crowded, however there are two well-protected beaches within easy walking distance of the centre of the resort - Playa Dorada to the east and Playa Flamingo to the west. Playa Flamingo is currently being repaired following damage during a storm in 2005, but Playa Dorada is probably the best of these two man-made beaches anyway. To the west of Playa Flamingo, there are a few small coves and patches of sand, but the best beaches of all lie to the east;
About 2km east of the Marina lie the Island's most spectacular beaches - Papagayo. These beaches are accessed via dirt track and there is a small entrance fee ( 3 Euros at the moment). There are multiple beaches and coves to choose from, though it is worth noting that since this part of the Island is untouched, public facilities, such as toilets and refreshments are limited. The beaches are also reachable by water taxi from Playa Blanca harbour as well as excursions from Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero.
While Playa Blanca doesn't offer the same variety of nightlife as Puerto del Carmen, visitors can still party well into the early hours in the disco and karaoke bars located at Centro Comercial Papagayo or Centro Comercial Punta Limones. Bear in mind that Nightlife tends to kick-off later in Spain and many bars won't get busy until well after midnight – don't worry though, some of the Disco-bars in Centro Comercial Papayago are open until 6am!
Since the resort has a large proportion of self-catering villas and bungalows, there is no shortage of places to eat. The seafront at the centre of town is literally lined with restaurants catering to just about every taste and nationality imaginable.
If you feel up to it you can even take the ferry to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura and take in a totally different landscape or even play golf!
